The instructor was fun and had good energy but the course moves so fast and it felt like parts were sped up to high to follow along with. The updates to square space make you have to pause and find the section that is being talked about. This course needs better structure with complete explanations of entire sections before moving on to the next. With the course being 3 or 4 years old it needs to be redone.

Megan is a great teacher! She has a great way of making you feel at ease and honestly, when she describes this course as containing "Gold" she is not wrong. Yes it isn't working with SQSP 7.1 all the time, but it's really easy to adjust and just use your common sense and she includes lots of updates to explain the small changes to the interface from 7 to 7.1 throughout anyway. Love this gal and I learnt a lot!! Thank you Megan!

Amazing well rounded-up course! At the first section my rating to this course was about 3, as I came with a mindset expecting more in depth technical stuff (I admit these expectations have no basis as the course states it is of a beginner difficulty). Throughout the course I realized how amazing and very well rounded up and touched on almost all the essentials and taught me things I didn't I even need to know. The only thing I wish it had covered by the end is some little details on how to deliver the website to a client once ready, but I still gave it a 5 stars rating as it would've been just a good plus but the course isn't about that, so it's fair to not include it. Thank you very much for this course, I definitely recommend it.

I wish there weren’t so many updates. I know the instructor is doing her best, but as a result the course feels messy and disjointed. She has charisma and I like her style, but it’s just not well organized. Also, she clicks on things WAY TOO FAST. I had to pause frequently and stop and rewind because she navigates the arrow so quickly. In future lessons I would urge her to slow down with her arrow navigation. It’s just too fast and you miss what she’s doing if you don’t rewind.

I love this course. It’s so simple, well put together and organized, and I like Megan’s laid-back approach. She makes the stuff that can at first appear scary seem like no big deal. I’ve used it to understand the basic building blocks of SquareSpace, and I come back often to jump into various sections for reminders, how-to’s, and solid advice. Megan, if you’re reading this, make more courses on design/dev/e-commerce/SEO/etc. I’m in!

I thought the course was informative, easy to follow and brilliant value for money. I appreciated the SEO tips as I did not expect that to be included so it was a nice bonus. I would have liked to have seen more information about how to re size images on Squarespace. I found it complicated to re size an image you have inserted into a page, you can't just drag it smaller, have to use the spacer system. With regards to Squarespace itself I didn't like their auto resize feature at all. I was trying to add a banner I had designed myself with illustrations on it. The auto resize feature and lack of clear size guidelines made it completely impossible. However if you just want to add photos as the Home Page like it shows in the course then it works fine.

Detailed and step by step process of how to build a site in Squarespace. Also covers the work done outside of squarespace such as finding color palettes, connecting to an external domain provider, and researching fonts. A well rounded class for someone just starting out that wants to be a squarespace web site creator. This course wasn't meant to cover CSS and additional code to customize Squarespace so that did not impact my rating. If Megan offers a part 2 class to take it to next level, I would buy it in a second. -Guy just starting out who wants to have a "make websites" side hustle.

Reimboldeye.com unfortunately I payed another designer to help me December 2 to help me with SEO and pointing my new sight to my existing 1&1 domain (ionos) now. I will be hiring you in January though to help with my online store. I am going to purchase autocam 360 and before I purchase I want to make sure how to use some HTML to embed 360 photos into the e-commerce tab like good see.co hope you can help me

This is the perfect course for a new or almost new Squarespace web developer. The instructor not only shows you the ins and outs of Squarespace but she shows you how to get the business side of it going. Her explanations are very clear and concise and she does not let you get overwhelmed. I really like that she takes you through not only the structure of the pages but the design and UX elements as well including fonts, colors, spacing, etc. Really fun course that makes you feel like you can do it! I am hoping she will offer more classes with an emphasis on design.
