Amazing course! Covered so many details of kick design and getting it to work with your track that filled all the knowledge gaps I had. Very informative! Fuad is a great communicator and teacher Some key things I learned: - the importance of saturation / distortion to getting your kick to cut through the mix and have real punch - how compressors can actually be used to really boost the transients of your drums to make them really punchy - how to control those transients with a hard clipper or limiter so you can strike the balance between sounding punchy and maintaining loudness during mastering - how to export samples professionally so they hit at 0db every time Thank you so much Fuad!

Too bad I own a Serum, so the pitch modulation part works differently. But over all it is a good course. Kinda gives you a perspective and workflow of edm drum making. If the instructor can talk a bit more about the character of drums in different genres, it will be a five star.

This course is simply awesome! The Instructor literally solved all my kick problems in a little over an hour for life. Having that perfect pumping kick for bouncy club music is so important or even creating a short snappy kick for tech house music is key, and especially for the kick to be...”IN KEY!” The way he shows you allows you to create any kick necessary, short, long, fat, overdriven, old school, etc. All within the same kick. He sets the kick up for you then shows you exactly how to manipulate it so it fits whatever style or mods you’re aiming for. I knew the importance of kicks and have always strived meticulously to make them perfect, I was doing things right in the end, just takin the long road. This is the shortcut to getting the heartbeat of the song out of the way first. People who don’t do this are behind, and this is bar none the next course on kick I’ve seen. Highly recommend. Bravo!

in de recentie van de beschrijving hadden ze kenbaar mogen maken dat er met sylent 1 gewerkt zou worden. Beetje jammer alhoewel je dit met een ieder soort synth kunt bewerkstelligen. Wel een heel leerzaam proces, fijne leraar en wederom een ervaring rijker. Al met al zeker een aanrader!!!

It is a good course! Honestly, I expected more examples and more intricate techniques but it is only because I am just crazy about learning! Fuad is a great instructor and I definitely recommend his courses to everyone! If you still have questions after watching this course, you can always expect guaranteed answers from Fuad. The same goes for his other courses. I wish I had come across him many years ago and learned from him instead of surfing Youtube and learning almost nothing.

This was my second course from Fuad Murad and I am lucky that I have found his courses. He is a great instructor. He explains everything very clearly. I like it very much. During my whole production journey, all the time I ask myself, why are my kicks are not so great, punchy and have not good looking waveform even I used kick samples from different producers. During that course I find all the answers I need, and lerned not just kick drums, lots off stuff about sound design, waveforms, manuplating them and having all the control of kick in my tracks. Make sure that, when you finish the course you can easly build and design your own kicks and will have lots of knowlage about waveform shaping of kick drums Thank you again Fuad for your amazing course, great work, great details, great presantation. I will continue with other courses of Fuad as well. Thank You..

I think the overall course rating is a bit inflated. This course is good for the first step but there are flaws. It just feels a bit rushed and leaves many ideas blurry. I still have to go and ask reddit or watch some videos in order to understand the concepts in this course. I wont go into full detail because it would be too long. For example, I wish that the instructor talked more deeply about the differences between compression,limiting,transient control etc...and I wish that he explained some knobs more. Additionally, this course is on Ableton therefore the plugins are mainly native Ableton plugins so if you use FL studio, you have to find the similar type of plugins,so keep that in mind. Overall, you learn many things and it is beneficial but not even close to the ideal course in this topic in my opinion. Buy this course knowing these things and dont be surprised.

Great instructor! Love the pace of the course: straight to the point but without leaving any details. I particularly liked how Fuad constantly put himself into the position of the viewer (me). It's easy to assume the viewer understands everything, and forget to mention something critical. Sometimes I would have a question in my head, but Fuad would end up answering it a few seconds later, as if he knew I didn't understand something properly! That's a great skill to have as an instructor because it allows the knowledge to be properly transferred to the student, especially in a one-directional situation. For example, I would wonder how to tune the kick, or what the modulation knob was actually doing, or why he was cutting frequencies instead of boosting them, or how to correctly make up the gain. I'm going to watch a few other courses by Fuad for sure!

I wanted to know which parameters to use to make kick drums and I got what I wanted out of this course. It's short yet informative. Bear in mind, it's not gonna teach you how to make a vast library of specific drum sounds. Rather, it will equip you up with what you need for further experimentation.
