He went on independently to become a patent-holding, self-trained engineer and designer of industrial electronic controls, used principally in military/aerospace research and testing, eventually forming in own company. Now mostly retired, he is the author and publisher of several books representing his diverse interests, and including visitor guides, historical sketches, nonprofit management, self-help, philosophy, and fiction. The Warners reside in Grand Haven, Michigan USA.
