I really like the course. I have often beated around the bush when it came to learning FMOD, I was too intimidated by it, but this course shows it is not scary at all. They make this course easy to follow explaining step by step on how to get from A to Z, so I highly recommend it to anyone looking to expand their craft! Thank you!

This course helped me get comfortable with the instrument from scratch and learn how to make sounds and set up in my Unity project. I am not a sound designer. I am a Unity developer and learned it for basic use in my indie projects without knowledge of sound design. Therefore, I can recommend this course even to those who are completely unfamiliar with the basics of sound design like me.

Course effectively covers foundational skills in environmental sound design and music for JUNIORS. It provides a solid introduction to FMOD and unity basics, helping learners understand its capabilities, components, and basic setup. While it excels at teaching the essentials, it falls short in offering a deeper exploration of FMOD's components, mechanics, debugging and scripting.Overall, it’s a great choice for those who starts their journey in to game sound design and looking to grasp the basics.

Pretty helpful course for beginners looking to get into implementation with Unity. Would have loved to see more in-depth discussion on what the general workflow is like between you and the developers as you're putting the game together, which I feel would really help people looking to make a career out of game audio. Overall, I'm quite satisfied and I'm looking forward to diving more into FMOD throughout my game audio journey. This was a great start. Thank you for this course!

It was a great experience. The course is super concise, instructor says what it's necessary. He explains the definitions in a easy way. Just, I had a little trouble implementing footsteps sounds (to recognize the texture in Unity), but I could solve it for forums's community. After that, everything is ok.

It's basically a walkthrough on how to implement an FMOD project on a Unity scene. You learn by doing but it's missing the most important part, which is explanations on what each tool in FMOD does, how to use it, and ideas on which situations it might be helpful. You sort of learn these things as second hand fuzzy ideas by following the walkthrough.

Great course for someone that wants to learn the UI of FMOD and basic to intermediate functions FMOD with Unity. I was hoping to learn how to make FMOD scripts in this course for advanced functionality, but alas, I must figure this out on my own. This course got me up to speed with everything else though, in a very timely and fun manner with a great flow. Thank you!

Awesome course! I loved it, highly recommended. He has a good pace to go through each point, is audio beginners friendly, so he’ll explain basic concepts of sound on top of the audio design what is good to clarify things. Everything really clear. I had some problems with my unity that were easy to solve, when I tried to use the script for the footsteps it just recognized the wood, but it didn’t recognize the other 3 materials, it is easy to solve, just look for the terrain that is giving you problems and configure it to “read” as it is not allowing the script to read it. Awesome course Thank you so much!

A little over half way through the material and so far it's clear and concise. Very easy to follow along and takes time to explain everything. One thing to note for the initial setup is that you have to find the version of FMOD unity package on FMOD's site as Unity Package Manager no longer let's you see older versions, so you wont see the older version of FMOD. Instead, you find the old version from FMOD's site, download the Unity FMOD package and then in Unity, you have to go to Assets tab, and then import-package, choose "custom package" and select the FMOD Unity package you just downloaded. Nothing crazy, just needs to be updated in the "Installation & Setup" section.

I recently had the pleasure of taking this FMOD course that I thoroughly enjoyed. As an audio engineer and sound designer, this course was an excellent match for my interests and career goals. The course started with the basics, ensuring that even those with minimal prior knowledge of FMOD could follow along. This gradual progression allowed me to build a strong foundation before delving into more advanced topics. Overall, my experience with this FMOD course was incredibly positive. It not only improved my technical skills but also gave me a deeper appreciation for the art of game audio. All the best.
