This course explains website development from scratch to comprehensive result. Maybe more explanations needed on where all those classNames from frontend come from (e.g. bootstrap, or our own), and why this certain component is just component, but the other is of type React.FC. But this is optional, as there is a room to explore yourself.

Having just completed the course on integrating React for the front end and Stripe for the back end, I can confidently say it was a rewarding experience. The curriculum provided a comprehensive overview of both technologies, allowing me to understand how to build dynamic user interfaces alongside a secure payment system. While I did encounter a few frustrations along the way, particularly with some of the more complex integration steps, the instructors were incredibly responsive to my questions and offered valuable guidance. Their willingness to help made a significant difference in my learning journey, and I now feel equipped to implement these integrations in future projects with confidence. Overall, I highly recommend this course for anyone looking to deepen their knowledge in modern web development!

This course is amazing for those who know how to build Full-Stack applications. You can further expand your arsenal with Spring Security, JWT, and Payment configurations. Overall, it is an exceptional course and recommended, if you want to see how an application is built from start to end don't miss it and you can have a mindset for how you can apply this methodology in your future applications!

Very fast paced course where you won't dive deep into the React world and if you're new to React like me you'll won't understand some parts of it though you can grasp the general concepts and latter learn more about it with a huge plus of having a full working web application with implemented credit card payment api. Also I liked very much Eric's teaching and his easy to understand english grammar.

LOVE IT!!!!!!! I really enjoy this course. The instructor is very responsive, and the code is complete, clear, and up-to-date. The teacher explains things very clearly, and I absolutely love this course, especially the instructor. They are incredibly talented and dedicated, and the content is always current. The course materials are comprehensive and easy to follow. This is the best course I've ever purchased on Udemy. I can feel the instructor's dedication. I wouldn't want to watch courses from other instructors even if they were on the same topic.

I liked the react & typescript crash courses to refresh some knowledges. The projets is amazing and real-life ! you have a front-end in react ( using ts ) communicated with the back-end in Spring Boot, the whole secured with https. It contains also authentication and stripe payment and it is not commun to find this level of implementation in an udemy projet. I didn't like the usage of bootstrap (many persons may not be familiar with it). I would really appreciate css instead of. You could simply provide the css style sheet and it would be easier to understand the syles and being able to change it by our own.

It's a good course, it's my first time to make a full stack project, I learned React and Spring boot before, but I don't know how to combine it to a website. So finally I know how to make a website now. But it has some problems, https should be put in the beginning of the project start, I think it maybe when the course was recorded, okta still support https and http, but now it banned http. And Eric almost never explain front end code, either back end code, so I must use chatgpt to help me understand, or it's just a typing course, not coding.

Overall the course is quite a good fullstack course with both react in the frontend and springboot in the backend. The only thing is the frontend development for the mega project (Library Management System) was little boring as bootstrap framework was used from top to bottom without any modifications. A section for UI improvements at the end would have been better to make the app more visually appealing.
By Fotis Memis on 6/2/2023
Good enough course for developers who want to combine their spring boot backend with a react front end. The stripe and okta integration parts are very nice and useful. However, there are 2 important drawbacks: 1) The implied claim that Chad plays a major role in this course is completely misleading, since he just presents some initial lectures. More than 90% of the course time is taught by Eric. 2) A very large amount of time is wasted by simply typing html. This could be ok for some if there was some kind of explanation about the html and the bootstrap classes that are used, but this is not the case in this course. Instead, Eric just reads what he types. After a while, it gets a little tedious.

I give this course a "5" (deserves multitudes more), and I thought it would be helpful to address a couple of the criticisms that I've seen in lower scores. Yes, Okta did change how their product works and now EU visitors can't register a new end user account; that's a bummer. BUT, the course still shows you the ins/outs of managing the tricky authorization between React-SB-Okta, and seemingly that can be readily refactored to work with Okta's new "customer-oriented" authorization product (Auth0, which Okta acquired: https://auth0.com/signup) . The other criticism I've seen is that one of the instructors spends too much time giving audio overview of the displayed code, rather than more thematic explanation; fair point, and based on the very explanatory Q/A responses that instructors continues to provide, I think it's something he's working to improve. In the meantime, if you take this course, you're getting a pretty-well explained "killer app" that you understand and can exploit in a million other directions. Tell me any course you find that shows you how to do: React... with bootstrap... built with Typescript... connecting to springBoot... connecting to MySQL, which collectively are connecting to Okta for authentication/authorization and enabling you to make/accept real-world payments via tight integration with Stripe.com.... I mean, wow, I can't even begin to imagine how long (if ever) it would take me to piece this all together on my own. Plus, the instructors give very helpful and timely support in the Q/A section. Wish I had found this course/instructor team ages ago.
