A very comprehensive course. The only missing thing would be more practical examples for reactive code, in particular method composition that uses reactive code (e.g., observables that call methods that return observables/non-observables and so on).

I just got over section 13 and I have to say this course helps me understand stream API at a deeper level. I have read through OCP books but couldn't wrap my head around all the details. On my way to finishing this course, thank you very much basicstrong team. I leave the rating at 4.5 because sometimes there are some loud background noises that are hard to not notice, I hope basicstrong team will sort it in the future.

Overall, I found this course is effective. The idea of starting with Functional programming for the reactive programming is really good. However this course depth towards the reactive content is less & and the explanations too. The author's narrative delivery is good particularly the author was keep mentioning the tech terms wherever required. + Course content + Length + Speed + Apendix on design pattern and generic was good to refer and refresh - Depth of the reactive topics - Some realtime examples/assignments could have been better

"Immersed in an exhaustive exploration of Functional Programming with RXJava. The course delves deep into intricacies, ensuring a comprehensive understanding. While it may feel detailed, I highly recommend persevering and envisioning the practical application. Looking forward to translating this knowledge into a robust project. #FunctionalProgramming #RXJava #ProfessionalDevelopment"

I give four (4) stars because the course covers important topics regarding Java functional programming, In my opinion, It is well structured; however, the course would be better if fix certain important details: > Modifying the examples with use cases of code that happen in real life or the work environment, will generate more motivation in students to learn. So, the concepts and techniques that were taught should be well clarified to it will be applied better. > Please, edit the audio of videos avoiding keys press sound, because it generates distraction and annoyance. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge, by spending your time and effort to create this interesting course.

Course is good. But it mostly contains different types of methods and their use case and the typing sound is very irritating. Looking for a more conceptual course because anyways we can't remember these many number of methods.

I am a senior software engineer. I used to write a lot of imperative programming with OOP. I found this to be THE very best programming paradigm to be added to OOP. I am on half my way through the course. Just ending the functional programming part. It is JUST what I needed - a very concise, thorough demonstration of the main concepts of functional programming. Very easy to understand explanations and coding. You will use these concepts in just any functional programming language (given that you could learn its syntax). For Junior programmers, either you learn functional programming, or you will be kicked out of the market faster than you think. This is a great course to fulfill that market need. Thank you so much for creating this course. I am amazed and refreshed :-)

The general concepts are explained very well. There are many examples in code. I wish some of the more advanced and complicated concepts were explained a bit better, but i guess thats also up to learners to watch again and again until they understand. I found very annoying to my ears the way the teacher hits the keys on the keyboard. She really punishes that keyboard... and my ears

I took this course to get more acquainted with reactive java. In my opinion it is a good course to get the general information and knowledge about the topic, however some of the topics could be explained better. From my opinion at the normal speed this course sounds like it is prerecorded and read from the script, i did this course using 1.5-2 speed at which it sounded way better.

Excellent explanation, appropriate pace, knowledgeable Instructor - has good depth of knowledge in what she teaches. So good to learn from Instructor like her. The transcript of the course is also correct exactly on what she says, so that's good too. Highly recommend this course.
