Course Description
This course will help the students ability to grasp the knowledge of data structures and algorithm using the C programming language. Knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms are essential in developing better programming skills.
This course is based on the standard curriculum of Universities across the globe for graduate level engineering and computer application course.
Apart from step by step development of concepts students will also learn how to write algorithms and then how to write programs based on the algorithms in this course.
You will learn the following in this course: (All implemented using C programming)
Fundamental of Data Structure concept
Why we need Data Structures

Shibaji Paul
Hi, I have been teaching computer science and programming since 2001. I did my M Tech in Computer Science and remained visiting faculty to the CSE department of Narula Institute of Technology. I have my own training institute where I provide training on various programming languages and technologies to the B Tech students on C, C++, Java, Android programming, Data structure and Algorithm, DBMS, SQL and PL/SQL.
In my class room I usually teach 100-150 students per semester on different subjects. With the udemy platform now it is possible to teach and spread my knowledge to thousands (may be more)of students across the globe, Udemy opens up vast opportunity for instructor like me and that with remuneration. I guess it's going to be a fantastic.
When I am not taking class I enjoy learning some new technologies. In my leisure time one could find me enjoying with my kids or gossiping with my beautiful wife over a container of tea. I am a "tea-totaller" (guess the meaning :) ) and hate smoking. I have a definite plan to launch an online course on topic "How to drink tea - the best way" on udemy for sure and also on "How to quit smoking - the best way".
Let's hope for the best, happy learning.

The course has very good content and explanation defintely one should posses C language basics if not defintely will feel tough but my only one disappointment is sir is not responding to doubts and no problem course is very neat you might understand but for me i had minor doubts and clarified by myself apart from that everything is fine ...

Learning from him is bliss for me. He is such a good instructor. I enjoyed every second of learning from him so far .I have completed more than 60 percent and I think I am eligible to comment on this.So I would say i learned a lot.

I like the way the course is explained, but a very important data structure was missing, the hash maps/dictionaries. It will be really nice if that could be added. All the best.

The course is very good but the professor is not responsive to questions which is so frustrating. That is why i lowered my rating to 4. His examples on big o notation are very naive and useless. His explanation on recursion is very very good.

The course doesn't have a section about hashes.

It is a very useful course and is recommended to all engineering students and computer science students .But 1 complain is that Shilbaji Sir does not answer all the doubts

There isn't a lot of good in-depth material explaining Data Structures in c, this course does a great job showing coding examples that are tested and work (youtube is full of lectures with pseudocode, not helpful). But I wish he went a little further, doing priority queues, and graphs would be very helpful. Overall, one of the best courses I've seen (so many hours of content, and real code).

Everything is explained very clearly and in neat format, but sometimes tutor is hard to understand and mismatched subtitles aren't helping. Some hand drawings are hard to read. Also, some sections could use some real life examples, like the ones from the Stack section. Aside with this minor problems, course overall is very helpfull.

The instructor Shibaji Paul, in my opinion is the best instructor on Udemy. How he teaches is unique from most instructors here by letting the students learn the basics and then encouraging them to try harder problems with it. I think this is a valuable learning technique because it is interactive and progresses the students knowledge on the particular subject.

Very clear and easy explanations . Using a drawing is very helpful for understanding algorithms . Very easy understandable course, bring very clear picture of data structures. Methods used by instructor for explanation very efficient. Do your second course of sorting algorithms also so clear? I am asking because a sorting is seems more complex for me. Thank you very much for your course!
