Very detailed in bringing up common pitfalls that can make for a very frustrating transition from other CAD platforms to Solidworks.

The training was nice. The details are just enough to help the user setup their work space to their taste. I wish there was a more advanced section.

I'm a retired Aerospace Engineer. I'm fluent with Catia V5 but have no familiarity with Solidworks. This course is getting me up to speed.

Although I'm pretty experienced with solidworks and no real lesson was learned by this, I can definitely say that the explanation and tutoring was pretty good. One thing I could note is that the tutor could be a little bit slower on his actions but I do understand that with his experience on the software this is much easier said than done.

What I really like about this course is, the instructor will tell you what key strokes he is using to manipulate the sketch, which other courses I've taken, fail to do.

Very good starting point for a beginner. I liked the step by step explanation about the GUI at the beginning. The only thing that is missing for me is the formulation of the core concepts of the building process in Solidworks (like list of rules).

Instructor was very clear good speed. Will be great if you have a practice period where you can pause it and practice.

Like what I have seen so far. Would like to see it in the latest version so I don't have to try to figure what I'm using vs what is being presented. So far it hasn't been to crazy in the differences.
By Dawn Toles on 9/27/2017
I have previous experience with Solidworks, so this is a nice refresher and I learned a few things I didn't know. Presenter does a very god job of explanations during each lesson.
By Mark Collins on 7/17/2015
The tutorial is relatively short compared to other courses, but gives all the essential introduction to the features of solidworks and then goes on to make a very simple component which is prototyped designed in solidworks and then made via a 3D printer to check prototype with other components for fitness of purpose. Nice Tutorial, but I think a few components to show all the features of solidworks or other ways to do the same thing would be nice to include.
