Overall, this is a great course for begineers and people looking for a refresher who are starting their Go (Golang) Journey as well as developer looking for a refresher. The concept are. explained clearly and the course is easy to follow. One area that could be improved is the cocurrency section ( require more details) Overall, I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to learn or refresh their Go Knowledge

There are some missing parts, it is more like a Go syntax course but as Go is a language directly developed for backend, I would prefer a course with a backend focus. Moreover, I would prefer to change working directory/file while moving on with more complex examples in order to keep simple ones for the future to check the subject.

I found this course very good. At first, it felt tedious having to handle errors explicitly in every function, but by the end, I understood that this explicit error handling is fundamental to Go. Overall, the course is highly recommended, especially for understanding Go’s core philosophy.

The instructor deserves particular praise: the explanations are clear, well-organized, and engaging. Complex concepts are broken down effectively, making the learning experience smooth even for developers approaching Go for the first time. From a teaching perspective, the course is definitely well executed. That said, I personally found Go’s syntax to be a significant drawback. It feels unintuitive and aesthetically unpleasant, reminiscent of older-generation languages such as Fortran. This stylistic rigidity makes the language less enjoyable to write and harder to appreciate, especially when compared to more modern and expressive alternatives. Because of this, despite the quality of the course and the instructor’s competence, I don’t see myself choosing Go voluntarily for future projects. I would only consider using it if explicitly required by a client or by strict project constraints. In summary, this is a well-taught course about an interesting language, but one whose syntax and overall feel strongly limit its appeal—at least for my personal preferences as a developer.

Essentials are well covered by Maximillian as usual, but I do not think it's a 'complete guide' as concurrency model is covered only high-level, no memory leaks mentioned, some popular packages like gorm or packages for testing are missing. Also, from the basics, I would like to have a lesson on source structure. Again, the course is great, I like the mentor a lot, this is the 3rd course by Max I've completed, just the title is a bit misleading.

The course is good for beginners, and I really appreciate the instructor's effort. I would have liked more depth in the section on parallelism and goroutines, applying different design patterns, and how to structure an application, perhaps using clean architecture. Nevertheless, I think it's a good course for laying the foundation.

Easy to understand language. The level rised up gradually, It didn't felt increasing much throughout the coursed though ... kudos to how well this is organised. I do felt a need to improve tricky topic like interface and make it more understandable, probably more examples. Other than that I think .. I understood 80 - 90 % things at first. Highly recommend this to someone who is starting golang or want to learn this.

I really like and recommend this Go course from Maximilian and @Academind. It starts with simple examples and gradually moves on to more complex cases, culminating in a REST API project (including authentication with JWT tokens and an SQL database). Building the project from the ground up helped me understand and practice the core concepts. Thank you, Maximilian and the @Academind team!
