Short review: This is a great course for someone starting out. Long Boring Review: I'm a 60 year guy with terrible handwriting trying to learn to draw. I keep getting stuck in just basic shapes (not even 3D shapes). This course has a number of things I think are a good reason to get this course: 1. The tools needed are a #2 (or HB) pencil, regular eraser and normal pencil sharpener a Sharpie. No buying pens or pencils or willow bark charcoal powder 2. You start off with lined paper! No need to get a certain lb paper (BTW, I found out that 68 lb paper is not 68 lbs of paper the hard way) 3. We start off with an enhanced stick figure, a very achievable starting point for scary cats like me. 4 Within the first few sections he shows a number of ways to draw StickMan in different angles. And I was able to do it! A lot of times I feel overwhelmed by a new course. This one has a gentle opening I recommend it for people starting out

It's not worth purchasing. If you want to learn human anatomy, just go to YouTube. The teacher only taught us how to draw human anatomy, not dynamic stick figures or dynamic action figures. I thought the teacher would teach us how to draw different types of dynamic stick figures.

I wish he actually taught us how to do all the different poses for the stickman characters. He only shows like around 5 for the cartoon stickman and maybe 6 for the realistic human stickman. He also never shows you how to draw the shoes, gloves or shorts on the cartoon stickman, which make the whole thing seem much better. I didn't hate the course... but I must admit that I'm disappointed. I'm hoping that he's going to be adding new lessons to this course. I learned some things but I feel like he left a lot out or didn't explain as much as he could have (especially as this course kind of comes across like a "first drawing class ever" type course, he really could have helped out with the other poses and stuff).

This has the makings of a great course. I am just starting. Clear objectives. Clear information with a bunch of examples. I am a total noob at drawing. This is a class I think I can complete and hopefully master.

This should be a foundation course in drawing academies. I like how this course brought the basics of building a structure of a character and then moved into more anatomically correct drawings.

It was pretty quick, and there was a bit of filler content, but the essentials are covered, and I feel I can now spend a lot of time trying to firm up the basic skills.

Excellent so far. Kevin has started with the foundational understanding that in any craft or discipline is needed to learn to build into complexity. I have done one of his courses before and love his preparation, his understanding. He is an excellent teacher. My thanks to Kevin.

Good course for understanding the basic stickmen and for the foundation of the character that you want to draw. The instructor does provide some good examples on how to tackle different poses and how to create your stickmen when you are going for realistic or cartoonish look. It's short and simple so 5/5 for this course for me.

I never knew that stickmen allows you to draw cartoon and realistic figures! In this course, I am able to learn the foundation of drawing using stickmen as the model. I am also able to make various drawing using circle techniques. Using the stickmen concept and with easy, simple tools, I'm able to practice drawing anytime and anywhere.

Fun, effective, and addictive! I spent a whole week sketching cartoon poses before moving on to more realistic stickmen. This is a great course to help break out of “same pose syndrome”. It makes foreshortening easy and adds a new dimension to your characters.
