How To Make A Wordpress Website - Divi Theme Tutorial (Udemy.com)

It was a struggle to try to draw parallels between the builder used in the tutorial and the current one. In some cases, I just watched and used the supplied theme, but I felt like I was missing out because I'd much rather have followed along. All in all, it was still pretty helpful.

I have learnt a lot. Sometimes the demonstration rushes steps and it wasn't obvious what was done to get to the next stage but pausing and replaying helped here. For me personally a more formal, less chit-chat presentation would be less distracting. But as I said, the tutorial has been very useful, thanks.

I appreciate the additional content for download which made the course easy to follow. However, I would have given it 5 stars except the last lesson didn't include the custom CSS. I looked for it in the downloads, the course Q&A, the course announcements, his YouTube channel, and his blog but they are nowhere to be found, so I wasn't able to complete the last lesson unless I wanted to input the code from the blurry video screens by hand. If you say it will be in your blog or in the comments of your video (I assume YouTube), then it SHOULD be there instead of wasting my time!

I had a WordPress theme before taking this course. My husband told me about Divi and how powerful it was. I knew my way around a little because Divi is kind of intuitive. After this course, I now know how to move around in Divi and feel confident about taking my website to the next level.

This course is covering the basics very well and since I'm already creating websites with DIVI I'm taking this course to look out for ideas and shortcuts I may have missed in teaching myself to use DIVI and Wordpress. Great beginner course and even some advanced techniques are covered in the bonus material.

Overall, an excellent course! I'm new to WP and Divi but a long-time web designer, primarily on Joomla with a strong technical background. The customization options were really good! Really the only thing I wish was shown more was how to use pre-existing layouts. This was brushed on, but not really in depth. I do that to quickly put up a site and then customize as needed.

I thought the instructor was terrific. When I first signed up for the course I thought I was getting a course on How to Make a WordPress Website I didn't know anything about Divi and I didn't know it was included with this course. However, I'm so glad I stayed with the course and learned all about the Divi Themes. Thank you for the awesome job you did with the course and the introduction to Divi!

Darrel was extremely helpful in highlighting many of the every-day uses for Divi but he also took the time to dive into some more of the advanced nuances of the tool. This was extremely helpful to someone who has built websites using this tool previously but has been looking for ways to better utilize the tool when developing websites.
