Very simple course covering 1 simple concept. It is helpful for that one concept. Could be a tiny bit more organised.

By Doug Berman on 12/13/2016

Somewhat helpful, but a lot of technical elements and concepts and the meaning behind them were not explained.

By Dragon Wolf on 9/16/2016

The course is good but the examples could be explained better. I believe that some of the videos were overlap. Thanks.

By Wilberto Palomar on 8/16/2016

The instructor explained the subject matter in great detail. It would've been a 5 if he included call of file extensions.

By Stefanel Stan on 6/23/2016

Quick, short and direct tutorial. Nevertheless, you might want to utilize other ajax integrated tools like jQuery ajax calls $.ajax, angularJs $http.get/post etc rather than handling the low level XMLHttpRequests like this. If you are a hardcore javascript developer, sure, go for this, but if you use other modern, efficient, fail-tested libraries, you might reconsider.

So far so good, just starting out with this new method of learning. Start at the top 5 Star, and go from there!

thanks so much to Laurence Svekis for creating this free course which allows people basic insights and practical examples of Javascript Objects and how to act upon them using Ajax & JSON _ For people who don't know about JSON & Ajax I highly recommend taking the time to go through this course

Nice foundation laying out the basics of accessing JSON data held in external files (and later in the course, as returned by a PHP server). Like the informal style and the way that real issues are shown and handled in the flow of each lesson - rather than having lessons that have been sanitised / edited to remove problems you might hit yourself.

By Cameron Kerr on 6/16/2016

Seems incomplete. Nothing about JSON versus JSONP for example, and nothing about authentication, and the examples are very basic. Needs a more applied example. Feels like it really needs more lessons. I did like seeing codepen and the other sites.

By Dave on 6/11/2016

I was looking for something that would be similar to $http request to an API to pull json data. E.g. make api call to movie database, pull their json data, learn about parameters and object pulls.
