Course Description

Hyper-V is Microsoft's hardware virtualization product. Itallows you create and run a software version of a computer, called a virtual machine. Each virtual machine acts like a complete computer, running an operating system and programs. When you need computing resources, virtual machines give you more flexibility, help save time and money, and are a more efficient way to use hardware than just running one operating system on physical hardware.
Hyper-V runs each virtual machine in its own isolated space, which means you can run more than one virtual machine on the same hardware at the same time. You might want to do this to avoid problems such as a crash affecting the other workloads, or to give different people, groups or services access to different systems.

My goal is to demonstrate every concept covered, instead ofusingslides that cover theory, we will use the interface to configure every setting that is discussed. In my view, if you do not know how to complete a task that a course covered, that course was not beneficial. I will make sure that you know how to complete each task and the various configurations for those tasks.

I've been using Windows servers for a while now, but never went thru the formal Hyper-V set up. It was just never used where I worked. I've seen bits and pieces and I've dabbled where I can see it in action, but never in setting it up or administering it. I've learned quite a bit from taking this course.

A really good, concise course! Explanations are clear and the demonstrations are excellent. I'm a network engineer so I haven't had as much exposure to virtualisation technologies. This course is an excellent introduction to the fundamentals of Hyper-V and I've already been able to apply this knowledge at work. Thank you!
