What you will learn

  • Learn all the theoretical and practical details to master industrial robotics: solve kinematic models; plan geometrical paths and dynamic trajectories; tune motion control systems; calibrate tools and cells.
  • We focus on a standard 6-axes anthropomorphic robot, because is one of the most commonly used robots in the industry, and it is also one of the most complicated ones, so that once you understand how this one works you should be able to solve models for all the others.

Course Description

Learn how an industrial 6-axes anthropomorphic robot works. We will start by building its kinematic model step-by-step, then plan geometrical paths and optimize motion trajectories. We will learn how to correctly size the electric motors and understand the fine-tuning procedures for the servo drives. We will describe calibration procedures for the arm, tool and cell, and finally generate a realistic digital twin for your simulations!

New bonus lecture at the end: kinematic model of UR robot!

class was very interesting and informative. I learned new concepts about robotics and how technology is used in automation. The session was well explained and easy to understand. It helped me gain basic knowledge about robotics and increased my interest in this field. Overall, it was a great learning experience

“An Outstanding Industrial Robotics Course” This Industrial Robotics course exceeded my expectations in every way. The content was well-structured, practical, and easy to follow, with clear explanations of key concepts like robot kinematics, sensors, programming, and real-world industrial applications.

I loved the course. Very thorough yet to the point and pragmatic. The teacher gives theoretical background for the topics discussed, but every second sentence he refers to practical applicability of the theory, why certain approaches are better than others in real applications, and how to account for real life challenges when working on industrial robot control software ( and hardware - i liked the section on motor control and what to consider in these aspects). The extra simulation part with Unity was extra helpful as well. I would be happy to see more courses from Fabrizio. Thank you and congratulations on the job well done!

Even Though I had no experience in robotics, I think the course was great globally. Explanation of the instructor were right on. It gave me a much better understanding in which part I should focus for develop a career in this area. If possible Fabrizio, develop a whole course in motion control.

Overall course is giving knowledge on more in Design, But I have expected to get more information in programming and practical information along with theoretical also. i was little disappointed on this and i have not get any other course in Udemy for the further knowledge. Here more concentrated in one side and it is a good refresher to experts not to the novice student like me. Instructor is more knowledgeable , it will be really grateful if in case he will make further course related to industrial robotics extension and to connect and take more in deep information with design & Program & practical exercises in Unity game engine or any other platform. Thanks for asking my opinion and the course completion certificate

I have learn so much from the bottom of the robot, honestly for me witch have low mathematical knowledge, is hard to follow this mathematical equation but it force me to study it more i am very impressive to our lecturer Mr. Fabrizo Frigeni for this amazing course, your clear and full spirit sound encourage me to study more and more. some suggestion for the next course may add more real life application example (is more easy to understand) there is nothing to say, only thank you very much sincerely and strong regards Agus Halim (your student)

I like all about this course, but i need to watch videos from section 9 - section 12, which are lot technical and mathematically driven. Instructor explained everything in a order but felt like he rushed in some places in lectures, with out making a connection between topics(while explaning). Apart from that if possible add a bit of exercise problems in between, instead of just dropping down the formulas. again thanks for the course, i learned a lot in just 1 week, that takes a whole 6 months. This course will definitely put me in front row of job and made me more confident. And need to learn a lot in this industry.

Good course explaining all the mathematics and parameters involved in industrial six axis robots and the geometrical calculation needed to position its motors. An extra chapter with a practical example of a real robot like a UR being manipulated would be nice but i know comercial robots can be expensive.

I just start and I can tell that the instructor articulate well and he is knowledgeable. However I wish there was step by step modules cours from A to Z how to install and simulate with unity. That will make this course more attractif. Over all, I'm learning new thing in robotic and Ill advice friend to try it.

By Tobias Eisele on 4/5/2019

This course is well explained and gives a lot of knowledge about robotics. Also all lessons are explained clearly and absolut comprehensibly, without unnecessarily prolonging the explanations. But i think a additional chapter about useful C++ librarys and visulizition techniques would be helpful. especially for people, who know already a lot about Forward and Inverse kinematics an want to step in c-programming, like me. Overall it's a great course! Thank you Fabrizio Frigeni, you did a great job!
