PROFESSIONAL: Hi! I’m Everett Bowes, Founder of 22 To Guru. I’m proud to be a Top Instructor on a number of mainstream teaching platforms, with over 85,000 students worldwide, and over 24,000 reviews (and counting)!

I have more than 25 years of experience as a leader in the fields of Brand Strategy, Creative Direction, Marketing, Social Media, Business, Leadership, Communications, and more. This unique combination of professional experience helps me produce impactful, efficient learning modules and resources on a number of different topics.

TEACHING: My teaching style is very conversational and approachable. I avoid using technical-jargon and buzzwords that make other teachers feel self-important while running the risk of confusing their students. I tend to speak relatively quickly, but that’s because I want to maximize the time my students are investing in their learning. I also like to use unique analogies, metaphors, and stories to underscore key learning points, and to help students recall and apply the learning to their everyday life.

PERSONAL: When I’m not working I enjoy running, exploring mountains & trails, traveling with my family, and doing just about anything at the ocean. I also like reading, listening to music, watching movies, and exploring technology.

I enjoyed this course. It was exactly what the title of the course was called, Intro to Branding. I do not understand why people would think it would be in depth. Also you can not please them all, literally one person said it was not long enough and the next stating it was too long. It was very generalized which is good for those of us who are learning about what a personal brand is and how to implement it in our work life. My favorite part was the bloopers, where he would mess up and then smile real big out of peer frustration LOL

Very good information in a nutshell. The instructor (Everett) taught this course in an interesting and insightful manner. The lessons in this course have me looking at what branding is in a totally different way, and I plan to use the information to my advantage. I also like the many quotes included because I'm always intrigued by the thoughts of intelligent minds. Thanks, Everett and Udemy, I'm glad I purchased this course.

I've been very fortunate to have taken another earlier class with Everett and witnessed his presentation expertise and vibrant personality. He's both smooth & engaging and always has a wealth of information and tidbits in his teaching arsenal that are both poignant and persuasive. So I'm looking forward to him showcase key ideas on branding, a subject he has mastered and will have his audience quite riveted. One fascinating nuance which occurred while he was teaching this class is that I'm have a real solid feeling that not only he is an astounding teacher of all aspects of branding but I have no doubt he is extremely successful at being a professional Branding spokesperson for any company that seeks his services. Bravo Everett! I'm sold!!

This is an amazing course! Straight to the point and easy to understand. I am studying while preparing for my dream of building my own cosmetics company. Insightful and gave me a clear direction to head towards. 100% would recommend!

Overall topic was covered well and I did take away a couple of things to keep in mind when reviewing our brand and the pieces of the experience that customers will interact with int he future. The first time the lego train thing was brought up I was thinking just regular legos, not the thomas the train ones. So I did not get how two different teams would have built the same thing from those pieces, the video with the actual pieces as the example should have come earlier. Also, there were two acronyms Person and BEhaviour, I think it should just be one.

I like the short, but to-the-point clips. The first video of the series felt like it was taking too much time but the ones after and up to this point (3rd video of the series) seem to pick up the pace and increase in quality. Overall, I'm happy with the pacing and the content so far.

Loved it!! It got my brain going in overdrive with ideas. I'm already super excited about how this course will influence the branding of my business (we are opening a second branch in a couple months). Right - I'm off to look for more of Everett Bowes' classes!

Overall a quick intro in branding. Fairly high level and there are a lot of repeats in the course (no need to mention every time what you will discuss the next video and the train example was repeated over and over) No mention at all about the consumers or audience in this course and that is a big miss. What brand are you trying to be and for who? You cannot please everyone so you have to segment and target your key audience; not mentioning that is a big gap.

By Julie Han on 5/31/2018

It's quite high level, interesting and refreshing... Starting with the Chinese Character of Brand as "Mingy"(铭记), the illustration is clear and articulate the concept of Branding by using Lego blocks and easy to remember steps, ie: P.E.R.S.O.N and B.R.A.N.D. Good for beginners.
