Course Description
Learn the typical “social media account killers” and how to avoid them!!
This course is not a hashtag-strategy guide! This course is all about creating the content, profile, and messaging you need to stand out, connect, and engage!
In 2017 Instagram admitted "hashtags are broken”, so if you’re relying on hashtags to build your brand or gain income-producing followers you will need a new strategy!
This course breaks down keys for success into simple, memorable, actionable steps.
- Learn why some of your posts get a fraction of your normal engagement.
- Learn why other people get consistently more engagement than you.
- Learn why Facebook and Instagram may not be sharing your posts with your Followers.
- Learn why you might not be gaining new Followers steadily and what you can do to reverse it.
- Learn how the algorithm plays such a big role in the success of your posts, your feed, and your brand.
To breakthrough in social media you need engaging "everyday content”. That’s the focus of this course. Learn how to create a feed that builds trust and makes connections through consistent, everyday content and engagement.
ASK A QUESTION!

PROFESSIONAL: Hi! I’m Everett Bowes, Founder of 22 To Guru. I’m proud to be a Top Instructor on a number of mainstream teaching platforms, with over 85,000 students worldwide, and over 24,000 reviews (and counting)!
I have more than 25 years of experience as a leader in the fields of Brand Strategy, Creative Direction, Marketing, Social Media, Business, Leadership, Communications, and more. This unique combination of professional experience helps me produce impactful, efficient learning modules and resources on a number of different topics.
TEACHING: My teaching style is very conversational and approachable. I avoid using technical-jargon and buzzwords that make other teachers feel self-important while running the risk of confusing their students. I tend to speak relatively quickly, but that’s because I want to maximize the time my students are investing in their learning. I also like to use unique analogies, metaphors, and stories to underscore key learning points, and to help students recall and apply the learning to their everyday life.
PERSONAL: When I’m not working I enjoy running, exploring mountains & trails, traveling with my family, and doing just about anything at the ocean. I also like reading, listening to music, watching movies, and exploring technology.

It was filmed in a day, same wrinkled t-shirt with indentions from the hanger. Couldn't even finish some sections without fumbling to check his phone. It always worries me when a presenter doesn't have enough respect for the audience to put their phone away while instructing. That is basic relationship building! Content was helpful but nothing I couldn't have read in a few articles on a simple Google search. It was worth $10. Brian

Everett, I won't recommend this course to anyone else. You need to revamp a lot of things first before I would recommend it again in the future. 1) your knowledge is all over the place - while you do know a great deal of social media world, you don't present them well. I couldn't really keep up with what you're trying to make points/delivering information. I have to watch some of your videos a few times before I have to click them altogether to see what you meant. 2) I tried to click on ALL links you provided - NONE of ones worked as well as the only thing I see is that there's a domain available to be purchased. This is a very poor performance by someone like yourself who claims to be very knowledgeable and very interactive with the online communities and allowed your defected website to be like that. This is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE. 3) There are spelling mistakes, a few odds that stood out from your videos that indicated you rushed the whole courses...in hope that you gained a few followers or subscribers. You could do better than that, Everett. A misleading content is a turning off approach. Now you have the time and opportunity to revamp the whole course and make it very clear and concise like if it's about Instagram mainly - you could just make the whole course about Instagram and another fresh course about Facebook so that way people can really invest time and energy to improve their social branding and so on based on their preferred social media platform. If you do that, I'll more likely recommend your revamped courses to the future students. Thank you.

Overall a pretty decent course with all the basics; it should be nice to have all the course materials downloadable, and some of the basics are too general. This course tells you what to do, and how in theory, to do it, but never gives you the tools to do it, nor gives you any help to do so. It would be the equivalent of teaching someone what breakfast is, how to make a recipe, and why breakfast is essential but never telling you more. There are too many parts left out to actually make breakfast. It leaves the student with more questions than answers. I would have liked more specifics and more examples. The instructor needs to build more value in why they are an expert and why we should listen to their advice. For these reasons, I am not giving more stars, plus the course needs to be updated for 2022 to be more valuable.

Everett is an excellent presenter. He makes a strong point in the difference between a public and a business account. He says that in a public account you must show how your product helps you do things better. In the private account you still have to be focused on the client. What does your client like and how will your product or service help him to achieve his goals. Presenting the product too often is a turn off. It’s all about knowing your client, putting forth a positive image and working with him/her to help them achieve a better life.

I enjoyed the course and it was useful because I'm in the process of setting up a service based business. I was hoping for some more examples in terms of resources and things that was said. So, I had to write a lot of notes to capture what was said in the lectures. It was either that or watching the course again to remember. Apart from that, I Iearnt a lot of things I wasn't aware of, especially about Instagram. But no so much about Facebook.

The course is for those who want to become more professional on their social media presence. The instructor gives some interesting small tips. The course is not for professionals though. I missed going deeper. If the instructor had another advanced course, I would take it for sure! Everett is knowledgeable on his field and was successfully clear about which mindset you need to have to be an influencer on social media.

I was looking more for confirmation of what I thought I knew rather than new insight. I got both... As Everett Bowes says, things are moving so fast. I feel like I follow certain 'rules' of social media intuitively, but I worry that when doing it that way you might accidentally make big mistakes. I was pleased to find that on the whole Im not making big mistakes but the food for thought I gained means that I can maximise what I am doing and do what I am doing more efficiently.

This course covers the basics in a practical, important way. At times, what first felt basic, has actually become the important parts that I remember and build upon. These feel like the key steps to put into practice. I liked the insights into the latest algorithms and the practical step by step guide to producing relevant content. This course helped me break my writer's block. I would like more from the teacher, a 201 course on making a routine editorial calendar based on these principles, but continue in detail.

I'm only a few videos in, and this looks like a fabulous course, but I can barely hear even with my volume all the way up. Seems like it's worth the struggle to continue, but it's annoying. Update: In a creepy, but good turn of events, beginning with the video right after I left the review about the sound, the sound quality improved and I had no trouble hearing the remainder of the course. (Sound quality improves starting with Section 2, Lecture 5.)

Everett is an excellent social media consultant. What I got from his course is that some things just money can't buy. If you want to succeed on social media platforms, it's like in real life: you must be friendly, you must engage, you must care. There are no loop holes. He talked mostly for Instragram, and a bit for Facebook. Twitter and other platforms were not mentioned very much or at all, but I understand each platform is different. However, what he said is applicable to all the platforms, I applied to all of them in my business since day 1 and it's already working. Good course overall and I definitely recommend!
