I entered into the world of CNC Machining in 1991 as an apprentice for British Aerospace. After a four year apprenticeship I spent the following 26 years programming, operating and setting a full range of CNC Machines, including Lathes and milling machines.

I specialisein programming FANUCandHeidenhain machine tool operating systems up to 12 Axis.

My main roles involved hand coding at the machine instead of using CAD/CAM software.

This course was a great introduction into the first several necessary G and M codes needed for CNC programming. Would recommend wo anybody who needs to start from square one!

This was a great introduction and I never felt overwhelmed, despite never coding on a CNC. It gave me confidence to keep moving forward. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is that I felt the visual side and some of the audio wasn't clean or as clear as I wanted. Some improvement could be made in this area. I do think Marc comes off as enthusiastic, which is a huge plus, and knowledgeable.

I am starting out doing hobby CNCing. I have some decent familiarity with CAD, but the gap between CAD and the CNC machine moving (CAM and controlling) I am weak on. This course seems to be pretty good at covering these topics at an intro easy to understand level.
