Introduction to Design Sketching (Udemy.com)

It was a good course for beginners, as it introduces some basic concepts in a clear and accessible way. However, I would have appreciated it if the tutorials were a bit more step-by-step, so that learners could follow and reproduce them more easily. I believe that by copying and practicing the examples during the process, beginners would be able to learn more effectively.

As a mechanical engineer, I have used CAD software for years to design prototypes but my hand drawings were horrendous. This course has already come in handy for a few prototypes sketches and I am only halfway through. I'm excited to finally be able to draw what is in my mind without having to worry about dimensions in CAD.

I'm a self taught freehand sketcher and have been for more than 20 years now. I wanted to add some structure to my style and grow my skills in the process. This class has helped greatly. The teaching is awesome and and the information is very helpful. It's a very good introduction to basic ideas about perspective and keeping things symmetrical/proportional. I will say, I believe I may have to go through this class twice to break old habits and form some new ones. Practice is key. Thanks for teaching this course!

This was a nice refresher on physical pen and paper techniques. I started as a traditional artist and learned these skills years ago. I have moved into the digital realm now and very rarely using the real thing in my day to day work, but all the skills can carry over. This course is very good for someone new at drawing or someone that likes to stay sharp. Thank you for taking the time in putting it together.

From just watching the first 6 clips it got me excited to move on to the next clips.

I already had experience in perspective drawing and this course helped me a lot to remember some basics, especially the shadows which can be very tricky. Thanks !

I am an Industrial Design Student myself and I took this course, being new to this type of sketching. It is really good if you are a beginner to Industrial sketching and helps you understand the basic mechanics of it. But I wouldn't recommend it if you are already familiar with most basic concepts and looking for something more.
