As someone without a computer science background, I first learned coding and worked as a software developer before transitioning to an infrastructure engineer role. Although I joined my current company as an assistant manager, I realized that my fundamentals were lacking, so I decided to take this course. Thanks to your lectures, I have gained much more confidence in my IT knowledge. Thank you so much, professor.

It is a good introduction to fundamental IT concepts in an easy to digest way. Two problems with the course where I had to take off stars: Some of the phrasing of the questions on the quizzes are ambiguous or intentionally deceptive, I am not sure which but I do not appreciate it. Specifically the "Installing a CPU" lecture was not good. I have some background knowledge in building a home PC so I know touching the contacts on the back of the CPU is definitely not best practice, and could render an intel CPU with pins useless if a beginner demonstrated the same carelessness. Secondly, dismissing the thermal paste as some "plastic or paper" residue is just careless. As the thermal paste allows for efficient heat transfer between CPU and cooling element, it is crucial in the performance of a system and I think that is important for a beginner in the IT world such as the target audience of this course.

Great entry-level course. Mr. Imran is highly knowledgeable and has developed a comprehensive understanding of IT fundamentals. I have learned a great deal and am excited to continue learning and applying my skills as I grow within my profession.

There is a lot of information to retain in this basic IT course. It was my first course. Changing a career from a special needs teacher to doing IT. I beleive i want to start out in doing a help desk job. So i would like to see more of that in this course or if you could reccomend one. Something more practical like the orical vurtral box, that was fantastic.

By Michael Mayes on 12/30/2025

This was exactly what I was hoping for when signing up for the course. It really helped to fill in a lot of the gaps in knowledge that comes from entering IT through a less technical field.
