The course begin good but modules decrease the quality in the last ones. Sometimes he hasn't the JDK for thge chapter, sometimes the code is with errors and for most of the functional programming functions the samples are too basic so is not possible to see a good reason to use that method. The auqio quality varies too much sometimes is good but other volume is too low or voice sounds like robotic

I really liked the phase. Coupld of improvements which I can suggest is usefulness in real time. For example given Map and FlatMap, the real time example would be to Employee number for Map/With First Name But for FlatMap, Employee number/With First Name, Last Name, Address....so on. These examples add lot of value if we can relate to the world. BUT I still understood and like the videos.

Overall, this is an OK course, if you are coming from Java version 7. The concepts are explained in a clear and basic manner. What I do wish is that the quality of the video and audio would be improved. Video get cut off and sometimes it's not even possible to see the code and the output window. The slides also could be improved (different font sizes and colors makes it hard to focus on the main concepts). Sadly the response time for answering questions in 'forum' is also no good. When the author of the course corrects these mediocre glitches the course would be rated even higher.

The content was good enough. If you are a Java developer and you want to see the new features in the versions of Java you will get some good out of this course. I did like the way that the instructor just did the explainations, then demonstrations. I really do think it helped me understand. I have a better understanding of Lambdas, functional programming and more now. I would have liked to understand more about the modules in Java 9+, but I think that'll come with experience. The video and audio quality is a bit lacking as others have noted. It is not so bad that you cannot use the course though. I also agree that there need not be a greeting and a thank you for the videos as others have indicated. The greeting and thank you are brief though and really do not cause a problem. Perfect. Nope (is anything?). A good, quick demo of new features and such for a Java Developer. Sure.

Yes, I received detailed explanation of new features in various java versions. Assignments are precise and worth taking. This is exactly what I was looking for in this course. This course and instructor has exceeded my expectations.

This is an excellent course, it covers all the important features of the new java versions with explanations, examples and comparison with previous versions. The only downside (I'm sorry if that seems rude, that's not my intention) is the strong indian accent the instructor has. Considering the price and the quality of the content, it's still an excellent purchase and very helpful !

The course studies each individual feature from a syntactic view only. It does not offer any in depth instruction as to how and why many of these features are useful to a developer. There are many sections where the examples are inadequate, such as proving a new feature is not present in a previous version of Java. Still, there is value to be had from the course. Best as an intro to what the new features are, then continuing by using other avenues outside the course. Just temper your expectations.

Explanations are very clear and simple and straight to the point. The only thing I would liked is that the instructor goes over more tricky scenarios but that would make it a long course.

I could not keep listening for more than 5 minutes due to accent and voice which were very not fluent and easy to listen. I apologize and I don't mean to harm, for me it was just unbearable.
