Holczer Balazs

My name is Balazs Holczer. I am from Budapest, Hungary. I am qualified as a physicist. At the moment I am working as a simulation engineer at a multinational company. I have been interested in algorithms and data structures and its implementations especially in Java since university. Later on I got acquainted with machine learning techniques, artificial intelligence, numerical methods and recipes such as solving differential equations, linear algebra, interpolation and extrapolation. These things may prove to be very very important in several fields: software engineering, research and development or investment banking. I have a special addiction to quantitative models such as the Black-Scholes model, or the Merton-model.

Take a look at my website if you are interested in these topics!

This Java course is highly informative, concise, and well-explained. It covers several topics that I haven't encountered in other Java courses I've taken, such as Optional, flatMap, Functional Interfaces, and Generics. These additions made the session particularly enriching. Overall, a great learning experience!

This Java course included a variety of subjects and concepts that were brand new to me. The instructor was very knowledgeable and presented the material with easy-to-follow slides and examples.

there was a lot of content in the course, which is actually good for learning. But, the way you describe it in the course is way too far from being comprehensible. Being a not so beginner in java, I found it hard to understand towards the end due to the monotonic explanation and quick flow of information which is just done in a single go. The course is not so beginner friendly, considering others.

In this course, the things were explained with very good illustrations and pictorial elements. These, along with good verbal explanations, helped me a lot to understand Java. I recommend it to anyone who is fed up with dry, boring Java learning materials and want to learn more enjoyable.

There should be more examples, relevant examples. Also include quizzes at the end of every section, atleast.

It was a very good course. I used to try to understand and learn Java in the past, but I couldn’t understand many things then. Now, with this course, I feel like I’ve broken through the wall and finally really understand Java. Thanks!

I expected less, but the course was a pleasant surprise. It's a wide-ranging, multi-topic, super course. The instructor’s accent is not distracting, he is thorough, and he explains in detail. I recommend it to anyone who wants to better understand how java works.

This course is different from the others and it has helped me in many things which was not previously clear in Java. The instructor explained well things that are not usually given enough emphasis in other courses. It's a good idea to start with the instructor's free beginner's course ("First steps in Java") and continue with this afterwards!

Excellent course. Well-structured and well explained. I've learned a lot through along this course. This course is the sequel of First Steps in Java created by the same teacher and which is free, take a look at this first class before you get into this one. Anyway, I highly recommend this course for everyone which want to learn deeper Java.

Thank You, this is the kind of course I just needed. I did check out many Java tutorials in the past but this was the one that really helped me to put the little pieces together and fully understand the concepts and the connections between them. Holczer is a great teacher, he is well-articulated, really thorough and explains what is happening under the hood in detail. I can highly recommend this whole course to any- and everyone!
