Java Spring Boot Full Stack: eCommerce Project Masterclass (Udemy.com)
Spring Framework + Spring Boot Java Full Stack: eCommerce REST API, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security 7, JWT, Deploy AWS

Our take
Based on the ratings of 3,633 students, a sample of their written reviews and the syllabus, as the course stood in August 2026. No course pays to be reviewed.
Faisal Memon's course is a long build-along. It runs about 93 hours over 581 lectures and walks through Spring, Spring Boot, JPA, validation, pagination, JWT security, a shopping cart, orders and an AWS deployment, all around one eCommerce API. A big React block and a Spring AI section come after that. The listed requirement is only basic Java, but the reviews suggest that is optimistic. It suits developers who already write some Java and want to watch a full application take shape.
Praise is easy to find. About 2,130 of the 3,633 ratings are five stars, and happy reviewers mention the clear structure, the study plan and simple explanations of hard topics. One experienced developer says it still taught them things. The complaints are consistent too. Low-star reviewers say he types code without explaining why, jumps back and forth to change what he just wrote, and picks confusing example names. One says the security section feels like copy-pasted code, and another finds the accent hard to follow. Some had to lean on ChatGPT to keep up.
Value looks good for the length, and one reviewer calls the price extremely affordable. The last update was in August 2026, and the description says it covers Spring Boot 4. Frontend reports are mixed: one reviewer says it is not explained at all, another says they read there is no finished eCommerce site, so check the React syllabus against what you need. Expect to pause and look things up. It is a solid pick for someone with Java basics who is happy to code along for weeks. Complete beginners will probably do better with something slower first.
Pros
- Backend build-along covers JPA, JWT security, a cart, orders and an AWS deploy in one project
- Updated in August 2026 for Spring Boot 4, with a Spring AI section in the syllabus
- Reviewers like the clear structure and study plan, and say hard topics get simple explanations
- Syllabus adds over 12 hours of React covering hooks, forms, routing and Tailwind
Cons
- Often types code without explaining the logic, so several reviewers leaned on ChatGPT
- Not really beginner-friendly despite the basic-Java requirement, and some example names confuse
- At 93 hours it is a big commitment, and one reviewer found the security section copy-pasted
This course was incredibly useful, I learned a lot from it. The content is well-structured, the study plan is clear, and even complex topics are explained in a simple, easy-to-understand way.
Listed for all levels, but several reviewers call it hard going for beginners and easier with some prior experience.

I had a really good learning experience with Faisal Memon’s Full Stack Java course. The concepts are explained in a simple and practical way, which makes it easier to understand even when a topic is difficult. I also liked the way the course covers both backend and frontend concepts with practical examples. Overall, it’s a good course for anyone who wants to learn Java Full Stack Development in a structured way. Definitely recommended for beginners and those looking to strengthen their fundamentals.

I honestly didn't expect this course to include AI, so that was a really pleasant surprise. I'm currently on Section 5, so this isn't my final review—I plan to update it after completing the entire course. Before starting, I was quite confused about Spring: what to study, where to start, and how everything works internally. This course has helped me gain a much clearer understanding of those concepts. Of course, I also put in my own effort. Whenever a new topic was introduced, I did additional research, followed the recommended resources, and tried to understand the concepts in depth. Because of that, I now feel much more confident about how Spring works internally instead of just memorizing annotations. The mentor has deep knowledge and explains concepts in a structured and practical way. The content is well organized, beginner-friendly, also junior developer friendly and covers topics in enough depth to build a strong foundation. This is my experience so far, and I'll definitely come back to update this review once I complete the remaining sections. But up to this point, I'm very satisfied with the course and would recommend it to anyone who wants to truly understand Spring Boot instead of just learning how to use it. Thank You EmbarkX & Faisal Menon

This course was incredibly useful, I learned a lot from it. The content is well-structured, the study plan is clear, and even complex topics are explained in a simple, easy-to-understand way. I highly recommend it whether you're a beginner just starting out or a senior engineer looking to deepen your knowledge. There's something valuable for everyone.

Good Course for learning backend springboot, but dont expect him to teach you the front-end part, like backend, the instructor has not at all explained Frontend you should have prior knowledge of Frontend, thats the only con of this course, so you can definitely buy this course if you are just starting off with Spring Boot, however, do prefer to buy it in sale, so that u can get it as cheap as possible, not more than 300 INR , because thats the real worth, considering it doesn't explains springboot out of 10 I would give 6.5 to this course, it was a good learning experience overall
By rohan on 7/1/2026
The instructor has good knowledge of the subject and covers almost all the important concepts. However, the explanations are often not clear enough, which made many topics confusing for me. Most of the time, the instructor simply writes the code and expects students to understand everything without properly explaining the logic or thought process behind it. I frequently had to use tools like ChatGPT and other resources to understand the concepts in depth. The course is not beginner-friendly. If you already have some experience, you may be able to follow along, but beginners will likely struggle. The teaching style needs improvement, especially in breaking down complex topics, explaining why the code is written in a certain way, and using more practical examples before jumping into coding. Overall, the course covers the required concepts, but the explanation quality and teaching approach could be much better to make it easier for students to learn and understand.

This is a great course—clear explanations and a very practical approach to building a real-world Spring Boot application. I really enjoyed learning from it. I have a small request: it would be very helpful if you could add a section on database migrations using tools like Flyway. This is commonly used in real-world projects and would make the course even more industry-ready. Thank you for the excellent content!

Some FeedBacks Very Important: -> Once in course you suddenly changed the Schema in constrast to your ER Diagram for Addresss and User relationship but it's ok as per your other learning and flow of teaching it can be managed. -> The E-R Diagram should be updated. -> Try to Add MongoDB Database also. >>> Final verdict 99/100 TO this course.
By Paulius Semaska on 1/20/2026
Amazing course. Finished backend part. Since it's impossible to consume all information at once and had previous knowledge about React, taking necessary parts of frontend and started making small full-stack projects. But I will definitely go through all course step by step.
By Yoshita Arora on 12/17/2025
I am a frontend major student here with 7 years of experience in frontend. Wanted to transition to full stack developer now. I completed the entire hands on - backend part -- and I am extremely satisfied with the pace of this course and the information shared. Faisal is truly one of the best tutors. I am gonna binge watch all the courses from him from now on. Have already bought the Microservices course after this one. Can't wait to get started with it!

This course really made me understand different concepts where I am new and gained knowledge on implementing Security Authentication, Spring Data JPA, Role based access, JWT Token, REST APIs, DB Integration, Pagination and Sorting, Vite React, Tailwind CSS, CORs configuration, Redux, Logging concepts. Some insights on Deploying code onto cloud using Docker. Thank you, Faisal Memon for creating such an incredible content.
