I know some are not fans of shortcuts, but I loved that the instructor focused a lot on shortcuts of Pycharm, which is what I was interested in, as someone who already has been using Pycharm but not using lot of shortcuts.

I found this course extremely valuable. Faisal knows the topic and know how to teach it. He goes into details that are helpful. I am seriously considering take other trainings that he provides on other areas of expertise just because I like they way he teaches.

Very outdated. It doesn't match the current Pycharm screens and options. This class should be completely refreshed with the latest Pycharm.

The course was very informative and helped me develop more ease with the Pycharm IDE. Faisal has a no-nonsense approach to teaching that breaks down practical functions and gives specific examples.

A nice, light but and complete overview. As a beginner on PyCharm, this course helped me figure out what were the main features of interest before going too deep into each parameter available.

Gread course! I'd suggest to add some pages where the most important findings/short cuts are displayed once again. Additionally I'd like to see more tests which forces me to think about previous contents.
By Edward Nieberding on 11/28/2022
There were repeated sentences. The class was a lot longer then it needed to be. The debugger section felt like it could've been more in-depth. The content was good and someone unfamiliar with Pycharm would learn a lot.

First, for Udemy management, your refund policy is awful. I couldn't have possibly known about the shortcomings of the course until I was past the point where a refund could be requested. You need to revise your policy, particularly for those of us who have spent many hundreds of dollars on your courses over the years. The reason I'm rating the course with one star is that the course name is "Master Pycharm IDE", but most of the Pycharm capabilities weren't covered at all in the course. A lot of time was spent covering shallow editor and keyboard shortcuts. A small amount of time was spent covering the basics of GIT. But I wouldn't say that the course helps students "master" Pycharm GIT. For example, is there any way to undo commits? What if we wish to enter GIT commands in a CLI? A small amount of time (8 minutes) was spent covering the basics of debugging, mostly walking through the user-interface. A small amount of time (12 minutes) was spent covering the basics of testing. But again, I wouldn't say that the course helps students "master" either of these areas. Many capabilities that are clearly available as PyCharm panels weren't covered at all. For example, there was little to no coverage of Structure, Favorites, TODO, Problems, Terminal, Packages, Console, or Event Log. This is more of an introductory course than a mastery course, and it only covers a subset of PyCharm capabilities. If you want to see what a true mastery course looks like, take a look at Chad Darby's "Learn Hibernate and Spring" course with over 40 hours of videos. Thanks for listening. P.S. May 19 update: another instructor who does a fantastic job of putting together mastery courses is Dr. Angela Yu. She has several bootcamp courses in Udemy

This is a very good course with plenty of content presented by an engaging instructor. I'm learning a lot. I make use of the transcripts if there are some things that aren't clear, but generally everything comes across well. Highly recommend!

Instructor showed off the capabilities of pycharm while demonstrating ways to become more productive utilizing it. I'm excited to start using it as my new IDE and now have lots of exploration to do. I thought course was great introduction while showing me where I need to go...
