JUnit and Mockito Crash Course (Udemy.com)

I recently completed this course and I must say it was a great learning experience. I always had confusion about writing unit test cases, especially when it comes to mocking, testing void methods, and static methods. Bharath Sir explained everything in a very simple and clear way, with real-time examples. From basics to advanced topics, I learned how to write unit test cases for both standalone and web applications, with and without Maven. The hands-on sessions were very helpful and practical. The best part is the point-to-point explanation. Sir makes complex topics very easy to understand. Thank you so much Bharath Sir for creating such a useful course. I highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to master JUnit and Mockito. Go for it!

I think the course's content needs to be updated so that it even includes sections for teaching JUnit 5, instead of solely emphasizing on JUnit4. Also, there is a particular section (Test Maven Java Web Application) which according to me felt a bit out of the place. Being a beginner in programming, it felt a little too much information without any context. Otherwise, the instructor is clear, very engaging and knowledgeable. A beginner gets to learn a lot. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire course & would definitely recommend to anyone.

Explanations about how to use Mockito, how to enable and use Mockito 4 and 5 are nice. Tutorials about how to install required tools are really good and the explanation about FIRST principle was EXCELLENT, but Spring section is not clear enough. Teacher is explaining just a little bit portion of all tools we can use with spring, Junit and Mockito. The used Examples are based on using @SpringBootTest annotation which is used to run spring context during the test executions and the right annotations to run a unit test when Spring context is up, are annotations like @Autowired, @MockBean, @SpyBean and tools like "MockMvc". Other way, when tests doesn't need to use Spring context, we use annotations like @ExtendWith(MockitoExtension.class) which allows us to use Spring and Junit with Mockito in UNIT TESTS using annotations like @Mock, @Spy and @InjectMocks. The given examples in SPRING section are not the right way to test given scenario and in fact I think explained way are bad practices.

Very good teacher, knows the material. Hands on exercises that are quick to write, but very useful to support the learning of the course content. I'll keep these tiny projects and I'll refer to it often when coding. I've learned a lot about JUnit testing and Mockito, but also about other tools useful in software unit testing.

He is using an outdated version of Mockitto. Also, this lecture should have been at the beginning of the class.

good. but as good as the other courses from this instructor. I had no knowledge of testing , may be that is why I could not understand completely.

Learn a lot... great

It is excellence video for a beginners .But for a professionals ,here needs to cover more topics.

I like the step-by-step approach where I follow along with the Instructor. It is easy to pace oneself as you learn the new concepts. The presenter covers things in a logical manner and explains things in detail. The quizzes can be more challenging and maybe even require we look up a thing or two. This is a great place to start learning about unit testing, mockito and code coverage.
