Kotlin for Android O Development: From Beginner to Advanced (Udemy.com)

Very useful and enjoyable course that teaches all the core skills required to make virtually any app. Lessons were clear and structured however on rare occasions the methods/code has since been updated meaning the taught method no longer works, the correct method is usually then given in the questions section but it would be nice if the lessons were updated. Thanks!

This is great hand-on course, I started without any kontlin basic to able to write kotlin app. I will recommended it to all who want to learn Kotlin mobile-app. Thank you very much.

This is a good courses. Method of teaching is very good and easy but he did not cover design like themes, drawer layout, material design in this course.

This course is good except Section 13 and Section 14. These two sections contain out of date data instructions and I had to struggle a lot. I even can not set up Parse in section 13 so I skipped it. I try to leave comment to ask how to solve problem. He did give me answer but his answer was too general. Most of time is tell me re-watch his video or re-check the code. But I am sure that problem is not mine. Its because out-of-date code and he does not update. Maybe he is too busy. In general, if you dont plan to learn section 13 and 14, it is a good course for you.

I was thinking before taking this course that i will not able to understand android app development due to complications but when i started learning using this course i am addicted to it. I am learning through the course daily to learn something new not only in theory but in practical knowledge that is giving me the strength which i need. Thanks to the Course Instructor for giving me pleasure to learn the android development so much easily.

This is an honest review. Firstly, don't be baited by the well-spoken Joe, he does not teach this course at all! This is taught be someone whos english is clearly not their first language, it's not horrible, but i definitely watched this on 1.5 speed.Secondly, from a software engineering perspective, the coding practices was a mess as many had pointed out. There were so many "hacky" things that were done in the code, yes the code works, but this is NOT the course if you are a beginner, you will fall into the trap of these bad practices.There was also no talk on the architecture of Android applications, just basic stuff with intents.So what will you learn? You will essentially spend all your time following along coding, and he will tell you nothing about what any of it means. And in the end you'll learn how to make very basic apps that are hacked together in an awful way.This is my honest review.

Terrible coding.Do not waste your money on this absolute trash.Instructor doesn't follow best practices at all and gives me the impression that he is a beginner or just not a very good programmer, he constantly ignores errors and warnings probably because he doesn't know how to fix them, most of the apps he wrote don't even work if you download them, just garbage really.

it's great, I'm enjoying this lecture, but i think it's not complete enough, I don't see fragment, cardview, . .but I like it. Good job.

It is very clear so far. I enjoy the course. I am looking forward to the rest.Edit: I am at 35% now and I get a lot of 404 errors when trying to download the source code. So I edited the number of stars!

It is good but very outdated. The contents are not being updated so a lot of the things can't be followed along without lots of googling.

Al principio las clases son muy buenas, el instructor se ve que sabe del tema, mi unico problema fueron los dos ultimos proyectos que involucraban BD, siento que tiene muchas malas practicas a la hora de implementar las conexiones, le gusta hacer mucho codigo espagueti y no segmentar el codigo por funciones, fuera de eso muy buen curso.
