Course Description
This course will teach you everything you need to know about Android development and building mobile apps.
I have over 10 years of professional Android development experience, and I have gathered all of that knowledge into this simple to follow, extensive and well documented video course.
There are many Android development resources online to choose from, but this course is special, as it provides you not only with a complete theoretical discussion on Android related topics, but also loads of exercises and interesting projects to build and practice your knowledge on.
We will start with an introduction to the Kotlin language fundamentals. We discuss all concepts that you need in order to get up and running with the language.
Following on from that, we start to pick apart all concepts related to building apps. We discuss each concept in detail, its multiple aspects, and we implement it in an example application. After each section, we have a project that we build together and that puts in practice what we just learned. In this way, at the end of the course, you will not only have all the knowledge and expertise to build an Android app, but also a complete portfolio of finished apps that you can show a potential employer or collaborator.
We also discuss advanced concepts related to planning and growing your app. We will look in detail at several architectural patterns and discuss their respective pros and cons, so that you can make an informed decision when starting your own project. We will see how we can build apps in a way that is scalable and easy to grow and maintain.
We discuss project management and delivery, how to set up development, staging and production environments. How to set up testing environment to reduce bugs and issues as much as possible.
Finally, we will talk about all the modern libraries and tools that are used professionally by Android developers. How can we make out development life easier and automate certain tasks? How can we easily create a backend environment and API that we can use in our app? We will talk extensively on all these topics.
All this and much more is all included in this one course.
By the end of this course you will:
Be able to work professionally as an Android developer
Build a portfolio of Apps to showcase your skills
Join any team, add value to any project
Know the tools and libraries that are most commonly used in modern app development
Have the knowledge and skills to build your own apps and publish them on the playstore
The goal is to take you from any level of development you are at now, and turn you into an expert, professional Android developer.
So sign up today and let's start learning how to build Android mobile apps.

Much of this course won't work in today's version of Android Studio. I have learn a lot, there are many great things about this course, but there are parts that I have to just rely on Chat GPT in order for them to work. There are a lot of things missing, like RetroFit, MVVP, Room, etc. The recording is also so zoomed out, that is hard to see what he is doing TLDR, it's an ok course, but it's not the one and only course to rely on

I like the way, content is arranged and explained to the point what is required from development point of view. Looking forward for new courses with amazing content like this.

I bought this course to learn Compose from scratch and I am very pleased with the result. The course is a bit outdated, but at the same time it is as detailed, understandable and useful as possible for beginners. Many thanks to the teacher for his hard work!

Finally, an Android course using Kotlin/Jetpack Composable well explained by a professional teacher Catalin Stefan. Lectures using Android Studio Jellyfish (2023.3.1 built 4/12/2024) worked well for Android12/Moto g 2023 when ignoring all AGP (Android Gradle Plugin) update suggestions.

The course is very informative, Catalin explains all the concepts around Kotlin and Jetpack Compose very clearly and helpfully. I am very happy with this course!

The teacher is good and I really like his teaching style, unfortunately important sections on how to manage the MVVM architecture are missing, the Room database is missing, the management of the up button is missing and some parts of the code are obsolete. I think the teacher left the course incomplete for some reason, too bad, I liked his style.

Catalin explained everything very good and it is easy to follow him. I hope there will be continued with other interesting videos for the topic 'Jetpack Compose'.

Exciting, engaging and beautiful course prepared by the author. Very well explained, with not just code, but with slides previously prepared, which allow anyone to speed up to learn the language and the framework. Highly recommended course. I will definitely get more courses from Catalin Stephan.

I took the course as an ios developer. It was as I expected, if you don't have any prior coding knowledge, you may have a little difficulty understanding the "jetpack compose" part, other than that, the examples given may be a bit heavy. For example, a person who will start from scratch will be greeted with code examples such as the illumination of the picture when they take this course. That can be very boring for a junior.

I started my journey for mobile app development with Flutter and Dart, but soon discovered that I need more knowledge in the native systems. As an Apple user I continued with Swift, UIKit and SwiftUI, and now I need to go on to the "dark side". I almost finished the course (had skipped the FB session). I learned a lot from this course, but unfortunately many important features are still missing, such as persistent data storage, Internet access, app publishing etc.
