Most photography courses try to teach you how a camera works. Technical stuff such as the Exposure Triangle, which is quite difficult to understand. Here, we get back to basics. You will learn a couple of the more fundamental, practical things that anyone with a camera can apply. Paradoxically, pro photographers use these techniques every day.
Once you have mastered these techniques, we have a look at landscapes, the most popular type of photography. But there's more to this genre than merely snapping holiday pictures of yourself outside a famous landmark. To achieve success with your scenics, you need to get the right gear, and the right techniques.

The content presentation is good, and I appreciate that it includes exercises. The problem of this course, in my opinion, is that the instructor didn't define his target audience. I mean, somebody who does not know that shaking the camera will make blurry images, probably does not understand the meaning "For a shutter speed under 1/60, you will need a tripod.".

Their are some things i didnt know like the zooming into 100mm to put your shutter speed to 1/100s and 200mm to 1/200s but i have had a camera for over 2 years now and i feel like i got a rally good grip on photography although ive never been able to take courses so thank you demy for making free classes it really helps.

Thanks to Ray and Lydia for this free course. There are a lot to learn from here as a beginner, updated my gear, tried find Lead line and much more. But as per title was expecting much more explanation on Landscape shooting, which found missing. It's much more in general to take photograph.

I am in my 50`s, I walk a golf course every morning. One morning I thought, This is beautiful, and would mind having a photo or 2. The instructor informed me that I dont need expensive equipment to take great photos, what I need is practice and patients with a good plan. I like the romance of a Hasselblad 500c so thats what I bought, old school in the digital world, Thank

Ray and Lydia work well together in this course describing the equipment needed and techniques used to get those "perfect" landscape shots with your dSLR camera. As a beginner dSLR camera user, I found this quick paced course full of interesting bits of information that will help me while learning how to use my new camera. The humor spread about in the course was fun and there was even a little 10-question quiz to test your understanding.

I dabble in landscape photography, but I don't have all the necessary gear to improve my photos. That's the crux of why I decided to take this beginner's landscape photography course. Ray and Lydia answered all my questions about what type of gear to use, and which techniques will best improve my landscape photography. I recommend this course to photographers looking to break into the landscape photography genre.

I couldn't think of anything wrong with this course expectations weren't to high seeing as the course was free; but It taught me much more than I thought about landscaping photography, and now I definitely have some new tricks to keep in my pocket when composing shots. Nice instructor's very experienced and knowledgable. Overall good experience.

A fun course to have. Most of the information covered, I already knew, but out in the field you tend to get excited and overwhelmed trying to get the good shot and forget the basics. It is always good to have a quick and decent review of the base techniques drilled into your head every now and then. Thanks Ray and Lydia I have your easy manor and humor to go with me now and keep me on the level, so to say.

I think this is a fantastic production. The instructors are engaging and interesting. I enjoy their accent, and they are both very well spoken. The video quality is well above average from other courses I have taken on Udemy. The only suggestion I have for future productions is the repetitive and a bit jarring sound in-between scenes. Thanks for all of the great tips and tricks!

As an introduction to getting started with photography habits, this course is straight forward while presenting the basics in a very pleasant manner. If you just obtained a camera and want to eliminate most problems beginners face, this course is for you. The second part of the course is for landscape photographers what the first part is for beginning photographers. It is a solid introduction in to this type of photography with a very good summary of the equipment used in landscape work.
