Laravel Homestead (Udemy.com)

Very useful course, thank you for helping us Edwin! One thing tho: I think it would be better to spend more time explaining all these stuff for a better understanding. I mean explaining more how virtualization works, what exactly these softwares are we are using, what does vagrant provision / vagrant up do exactly...etc.

need to learn how to setup Laravel Homestead on both Windows & Mac... i would like to say to the creator to be a bit more streamlined when setting up software development platforms as I found that he described things by going from one point to the next and it was a little confusing or unhelpful at times but he was very clear which did make it easy to understand I guess so Thankyou for your work... Maybe write a script and follows that when recording so all instructions are clear, and to the point with no jumping around to clarify points.

It is hard to make a course about configuring machines, there is always particularities on each machine. Needed to install on my self the programs used to setup the vagrant working environment because my machine already have lots of things installed that interfere with the setup and ended up with some things different from the course.

Great experience. Master Edwin is really doing a great job. He has proven enough passion for teaching. I love the community too, very helpful indeed. I will really be glad if this platform can help me achieve my dream of building great applications.

Well explained, I just found a web security policy for Chrome browser HSTS, when I was using this domain laravel-apps.app, Chrome browser forced use HTTPS secure protocol, so I had to change the domain extension to .test laraveltest.test and It worked for me.

I felt this course was a great introduction to the world of virtual boxes, as well as an introduction to using command line tools like git's bash terminal. I would love to see more lessons on terminal commands, and possibly on command line programs. Overall I think this was a great course and just want to say keep up the great work Edwin!

The overall course was great. It would have been nice if some of the most common problems faced during installs were discussed. I got stuck when I tried to do "vagrant up" in the ssh connection timeout. I saw that a lot of people faced similar issues on the net. It would have been great if Edwin could address this and suggest a fix as a lot of hours were spent in trying to fix this issue (finally I gave up on solving the issue and installed laravel on a different machine and it worked on that)

In the end the course helped me getting my homestead setup working. It also gave me a wider understanding of the environment and some of the problems that could be experience (some of which I did encounter). the course delivery is pretty manic and could be more concise with the process explained in a simpler manner - rather than spurious side issues.

This course was thorough enough for me! Any complications I got while installing were explained and fixed. I'm following the PHP with Laravel for Beginners - Become a Master in Laravel and was recommended by Edwin to take this course alongside it. Thanks a lot for this thorough explanation!
