Course Description
In the year 2020 we experienced the most massive social experiment in human history. In every company, in every country, on every continent we suddenly went from the necessity of "going to work" to the necessity of NOT going to work. There are lessons from this unintended experiment that will change our models of work forever. We are now entering an age of hybrid organizations with a flexible mix of at home and onsite work. Now we must figure out how to make this successful. That is the subject of this course.
Every organization must redesign its own work, teams and relationships to take advantage of the lessons that we can both perform much of our work from home and experience increased job satisfaction and productivity. Even the U.S. Federal Governments has accepted the new reality of hybrid organizations and is engaged in creating new rules and a new culture. This course is based on many years of designing organizations to be self-managing. It not only addresses management's responsibility to redesign systems and structures and management need to adopt new skills and style; but also the employees responsibility to manage their own work, space and motivation and to become great team members taking ownership of their own performance.
The course includes action learning assignments and recommends a blended learning model with learning teams and coaching. It also includes 30 downloadable case studies, exercises and other resources.
The instructor has been assisting organizations to change their culture for forty-five years, is the author of eleven books, and sixteen previous courses. He has more than 350,000 students and several best selling courses.

He began his work in youth prisons after recognizing that the learning system in the organization had exactly the opposite of its intended effect – increasing, rather than decreasing, dysfunctional behavior. For four years he worked to redesign the prison system by establishing the first free- economy behind prison walls, where each inmate had to earn points, maintain a checking account, pay rent and pay for everything he desired. It resulted in measurable improvements in behavior. This was his first organizational transformation.

So far, I actually think section 5 was the most valuable information for my own context. I really like the organization of the code of conduct (I'll probably call it something else) and then deeper look at facilitation skills. Though I rarely them, I had one colleague who lead several meetings and leaned hard on the frames "So I think what I'm hearing is...is that y'all are hearing..." when we were trying to make progress, and that was an incredibly effective tool for moving our work forward. I was glad to see that here and will definitely be more intentional about using it in my own leadership work.

This is my second course from Mr. Lawrence Miller. I really enjoyed the first "Management Skills Training for New & Experienced Managers" and I am now overwhelmed by the information, skills, and organizational structure Mr. Miller presented in this course. He is straight to the point, with no unnecessary talking and wasting time, gradually involving you to THINK about your organization, your current skills, and your team members. The product of this thinking and analyzing is improving attitude, improving knowledge, improving skills, and last but not least improving yourself as a manager and as a person.

I like the real facts presentation that is included. The Lesson attachments help a lot to start off if one has already not implemented the suggested documentation. A good course overall.

What I loved the most of this course was the teacher is savvy on the course matter and is able to make the parallel between theory and practical application of knowledge in real world scenarios. The way the course is presented is clear and objective, the only thing I would improve would be to introduce some more dynamic on it. Always having the teacher talking can be hard to follow on some more dense parts of it.

This course is jam packed of excellent graphics and materials. Larry is full of valuable information and he greatly delivered it. He encouraged me to think and reflect on how to take the best out of me in adapting to the new normal workplace changes by adopting leadership behaviors in the design of effective hybrid teams that enhance collective intelligence based on trust. Thank you!

A substantial part of the course had nothing to do with teams being hybrid in specific. These were generic - applicable in most if not all circumstances. And very little of the coverage was unique. The trainer did not make it easier - a penchant to start giggling every so often is just plain irritating.

It was a good match since half my team is working remote at this time. It gave some great things to think about and work on especially concerning meetings and giving people roles to play.

Positive: Way of communication (understandable, agreeable, short videos and gvery useful formats). Interesting data on remote work based on surveys. Room for improvement: dependent on your background and experienve there was quite a lot of refreshment (Toyota, lean, 5S, PDCA, etc) which was not really dedicated to post-covid organisations, but more generic. The post Covid part came a bit short and did not satisfy the title of the course, as it was for me too much of using the regzular formats in things like Zoom and MS Teams. Did expect to learn more new things on hybrid organisations

This is a timely, critical course, to help guide our decisions about how to optimize and reinvent how we work together post-pandemic. Provides very helpful specific tools and frameworks.

This course is a Master Class for an organization hoping to move from the traditional Top-Down managerial methodology to a truly trusting and engaging spirit of cooperation between management and the rank and file employees. It’s an incredible course which will be useful for many types of organizations, both large and small, in building an organization adapting to the challenges of the new realities of the present age. Highly recommend!
