Geb:
Geb is a testing framework for automation of browser which is written on top of Selenium WebDriver library so it can works on all browsers that is supported by Selenium. We have two added benefit in one way we are working with Geb that provides an extra layer of convenience and productivity but we have freedom to switch back to Selenium to perform all the automation in Selenium Ways.

Geb uses the dynamic language features of Groovy to provide a powerful content definition DSL (for modelling content for reuse) and key concepts from jQuery to provide a powerful content inspection and traveral API (for finding and interacting with content). So in another word we could say

GEB = Selenium WebDriver + Java +Groovy +Jquery

Spock:
In this course we would be learning one more testing framework Spock that is again a very sophisticated testing and specification based framework for Java and Groovy. Spock Testing framework uses a very expressive and to the point specification language.

Very interesting stuff presented but it's unfortunately downplayed by an uneven level of explaining; sometimes the tutor explains things very clearly and goes into things in detail, and sometimes he skims over some important parts, assuming maybe that it is clear enough or that the person has prior knowledge.
The accent is unfortunately not helping, though that can be excused as you can't fault one for it. Though the tutor's tone is very slow/unenthusiastic. Coupled with a bad audio quality and even worse closed captions, and the whole thing becomes hard to watch. The least that can be done is provide better closed captions.
I'm sorry if I came across as rude. I'm just trying to offer constructive criticism because the course as a whole has so much potential to be great if some of these points are taken into account.

I was really new bee in Geb and Spock. This course is exactly what I was expecting. I learnt progressively all the notions (including groovy language, jquery, spock framework). The examples are good and well explained (full resources are provided in a zip and can be imported as a project). At the end I was able to apply them to another website and create my own test cases. I used IntelliJ IDE instead of Eclipse but this was not an issue (IDEA 2018.3.6). I recommend this course for beginners. Plan 2 full days at least.
