The course is a bit outdated. Please add more examples around advance HBase commands. The architecture of HBase is very brief, it lacks details around role of zookeeper, how cluster overall play role etc.

I am a support engineer for a big data platform product. I took this course to understand the design ideas and basic operations of HBase. This course is perfect for someone like me who has basic experience with big data platforms. The course is well-controlled, it's not verbose, it gives a good overview of the differences between HBase and RDBMS and why to use HBase, and it also outlines how HBase is different from OLAP engines like Hive. The Java example code for this course is also great and helpful for understanding HBase's "row-based ACID operations".

This was definitely above my expectations. The tutor is knowledgeable in the topic, the videos are very well made and the content is explained very clearly. The only cons are the course is a bit old, so older versions of Hadoop and HBase are being used, and questions are no longer answered by the tutor. Still it's a very, very good introduction to how HBase works!

The concept of HBase is explained clearly. Lecturer also explained the code line by line about what it does to give me hands on experience. The course can be divided into 4 parts: (1) HBase fundamental concept. (2) HBase command line (3) HBase Java API (4) HBase with Map Reduce notification service project

This isn't what i have expected. I have expected a complete HBase Commands (ONLY). But this talks more about using HBase with Java API's which is good for Java Programmers. I believe, i have purchased it wrongly. Anyway, The Content and and Information provided was Excellent. Thanks

I thought the course was a good overall introduction to HBase and Hadoop. If you don't have any technical background such as knowing Java or installing VM's, this course will be difficult to understand. I have very basic technical knowledge, and I thought some concepts were hard to understand. However, if you are looking for an introduction to HBase then I do recommend the course. Accent is sometimes hard to understand but the instructor is engaging and direct to the point.

A great workshop it gave me the insight to hbase, this will go a long way to improve my skill in building real-time applications. The contents were well thought through and applicable to real situations I have encountered, unfortunately, my Java isn't good so it compels me to take up some similarily course in Java programming

This is not the first course I am taking from this provider, so far I have sat through the Hive coaching videos and the quality if is appreciable I like the approach as well, which takes one right from the process of installation starting the processes and getting into the shell to basics and more I only wish that you would dig a big more deep than what you usually cover.
