Course Description
JUnit is one of a family of unit testing frameworks all built with the same philosophy. To abstract the programmer away from the mechanics of running tests. You concentrate on testing the functionality of the application, and the logistics of running, monitoring and displaying results is taken care of by the framework.
In this course, we’ll be writing simple tests using all the different features of JUnit tests. Using 25 solved examples, you'll get a complete overview of the JUnit framework and all the functionality within.
What's covered?
1) Assertions : the fundamental component of any Junit test
2) Matchers : Write complicated tests in a very readable way. Implement your own custom matchers
3) Assumptions : Check for preconditions and external dependencies
4) Fixtures : Setup and Cleanup for your tests
5) Runners : Understand what goes on under the hood in JUnit. Use different runners to run multiple test classes with different conditions and parameters
4) Mockito : Understand the concept of mock objects and use the Mockito framework to run tests on interdependent classes.

the subtitles are most of the time wrong due to the speaker accent. The rest is great

That sound in background of each lesson should really be removed. All the other coursed I followed on this Udemy platform do not have it. Why this should?

It is good for beginners. Need to content related to strategy about how to implement it for legacy projects , need to add content about integration tests , tests having DB dependency

Good course to understand basics of JUnit. If you are looking for in-depth JUnit learning with real-world examples this might not be very useful as the whole course is around 2 examples.

Het is fijn om alle elementen van een test uitgelegd te krijgen en dat het stap voor stap gaat.

The content of the course is quite good to have a better notion on what the JUnit framework is and the utilities it can offer. The instructor explains the topics through examples and is easy to follow although her accent is strong and the automatic generated subtitles won't help in any way. What I have not liked is the background music, it was annoying but somehow bearable except for lessons 9 and 26, where the voice and the music are almost at the same level and it made really hard for me not only to get what she was saying but to concentrate as well. If I were you I'd remove it completely, but maybe it's just me. Overall satisfied with the course.

Examples 9 and 25: music is way to loud. Example 7 is not detailed enough to create a new custom matcher. Example 22 the Timeout class used is deprecated.
By Khan Sami on 7/26/2017
Helped me tremendously to learn JUnit along with their Sleenium course. It's a plus if you also learn Ant and Maven so that you can integrate in your Selenium framework projects.
By Karen Reid on 4/11/2017
Pretty good. The music is distracting sometimes, especially in the unit on Fixtures. Just turn it off.
