Course Description

In this course, you'll learn how to create abstract 3D design elements. And by doing that you'll also learn the fundamentals of working with Cinema 4D, and with 3D in general.
We learn best by doing, so this is a hands-on, project-based course.
We're going to work through 4 fun projects from start to finish. We will create everything within Cinema 4D and won't use and pre-made elements.
We will use a procedural workflow that doesn't require modeling. That means that all settings remain editable and we can change the entire look by just adjusting a few sliders. It makes the whole process of creating and experimenting fun, flexible and powerful.
The design elements we'll create are well-suited for either a 3D or a 2D workflow.
We'll cover the fundamental concepts in the first project. And then we'll build upon what we learned in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th projects.
We'll reiterate the most important aspects for a deeper understanding and add new skills and techniques as we progress.

Here's a glimpse of what we'll cover
Working with parametric objects
Exploring how geometry and complexity affect the appearance of objects
Working with deformers
Looking at how displacement works and how to optimize for best result
Working with the noise shader
Making complex shaders by using the layer shader
Lighting a scene with 3-point lighting
Working with cameras
Creating materials
Rendering with the Physical and the Standard Renderer
Making a seamless loop animation
Color grading and post-effects in Adobe After Effects

Innovate way of teaching intermediate skills in Cinema 4D. Very good instructions for the effcts but 2 projects of the 4 are a bit repetative.

Jesper's course is simply amazing! I'm a graphic designer (mainly surreal artworks and metal album covers) and I'm trying to get my ideas into the world of motion graphics and also add more dimension to anything I do. I believe that without learning new things we get stuck. This course will definitely help my efforts in studying and practicing VFX and 3D objects but what is also important - it already changed my perspective on static/graphic design.Everything here is very well explained and structured. You also have detailed resources for each lesson (which I never used) but my advice for anyone taking this course is to build your own project files from scratch and not follow exactly what Jesper does (for example, entering the same values for everything) because... well, because that way you'll get a better understanding of the software and what it does.I would definitely use those lessons as a future reference in case I get stuck with anything I do. Lots of basic principles and good approach here - it's all taken from practical experience as you will see for yourself. So, I'm more than pleased!

By far, the best online course i've taken, teacher is clearly a expert in the field and the proyects are very interesting, please take this course, you will love it.

Fun course. Clear instructions. Really great instructor, I learned way more than expected and will definitely take other classes given by this instructor.

I believe that this course could be better. it is very repetitive the tutor could have introduced more tools and ways into modeling. However, overall it is a good course but I felt it lacked a few things compared to other classes.

This course is explained so well. I feel comfortable with the C4D layout and understand many aspects of animation from this course.

This is indeed a very good course. The reason is that lessons are short, straight forward, and very easy to understand (this gives you a sense of accomplishment that other courses don't give). Every action is well explained so it allows you to pause and experiment. Also, Jesper its preparing every lessons and he is not improvising. My suggestion to all is that to make even the most of this course, make an animation not only for the fourth exercise but also for the first three ones. This will allow you to experiment even more. Thank you Jesper.

I enjoy this class.the teachers Rythm and way of explaining

Its giving good explanations for why i am doing what i am doing.

Good teacher, a fun way to learn the basics of C4D

Amazing!!!
