This course is excellent. You learn a lot, and by the end, you're able to create beautiful and responsive websites, perfect for a blog or personal site. The instructors seem to be highly competent developers, and their teaching style is very engaging. They also have a website and a YouTube channel where they share tons of material. The course doesn't include JavaScript, which is used to create fully interactive websites, but it's not necessary to take the first steps in web development and create useful pages (the instructors also have a separate JavaScript course here on Udemy). Most of the course progresses at a very easy pace, including exercises and quizzes that help solidify what you're learning. You also have access to the HTML and CSS files used in the lessons. My only criticism is regarding sections 11 and 12, where advanced CSS topics are covered, and the pace of the course becomes difficult to follow. This is where the exercises and HTML/CSS files start to become scarce. These two sections feel more like a "taste" of what you can do with CSS than actual lessons. That aside, the course is very good, and I highly recommend it to anyone who knows nothing about web development and wants to start learning from scratch.

The way the lessons are aligned are building blocks to the other. I have taken a few courses on web design, but this is by far the easiest to follow. The lessons are short and highlights all of the key points for that lesson. He doesn't jump around.

Fabian is the best. His course is SHORT but VALUE PACKED that's what we want in a busy world. He talks about what you need to know then shows a concrete example that's flawless every time to drive home the point. AMAZING TEACHER who doesn't get overly technical which makes concepts hard to memorize.

Concise and specific presentation. Appreciate the short time frame as a learner who prefers the "Chunks" and "Stacks" learning approach.

The course is really great. English is not my primary language but i'm getting there. The little exercises in every section are really good for understanding the concepts in each one. By far one of the best courses I've taken so far to learn something new.

This is a very well made course, with many practical examples and clear explanations, to properly understand the basics of modern HTML and CSS. There are some parts which (to me) seems a little bit rushed, and some inconsistencies in the topics cronology, but nothing that cannot be easily overcome (with some patience, code experiments and research online). I especially liked the demostrations of how to tackle entire websites and layouts as a whole, which I believe is incredibly valuable especially to beginners. I will now look for more material from this authors, as a testament to the quality of this course! Thank you Fabian and Pavel!

It’s a great course, but it moves very fast. I finished it in about nine days, though I could easily have done it in seven if I hadn’t been distracted by other work-related stuff. There are very few tasks to complete, which I think would have made the course better—but also much longer. You go through lesson after lesson, and it’s up to you to pause after each one and practice what you’ve learned. I found myself forgetting some of the earlier lessons, but I still ended up with a great overview and know much more than before. I started as a complete newbie, and now I can style websites and make them look good—though I’ve forgotten a lot of the details. You really have to stop after each lesson and practice for a while to make it stick. For example I just finished the course and I don't remember the difference between flex vs. grid, but a bit of Googling will fix that. The explanations are excellent, the lessons are really great, but they come at a fast pace. If I had paused to practice after each one, I’m sure I’d feel much more confident now and know the difference by heart - it's explained really good in the course. Overall, I’m glad I took the course—in a very short period I learned so much!
