To get a better understanding of Ajax and the use of CORS but the first examples do not work with CORS.

By Chris Conlee on 11/19/2017

This is a great introduction to Ajax. I have a real-world project I'm working on and this is the missing key I've been searching for to pass data between javascript and PHP. Still reading and learning, but this course has set me on the right path for sure.

The title is a little misleading an sweet intro to AJAX. I would have liked it if he would have gone over Vanilla JS vs. jQuery AJAX pros and cons and AJAX effective error handling for Vanilla JS AJAX. Either way, though, I really liked it. He broke it down step by step on how to do the calls and didn't waste time on making sure pure beginners can thoroughly understand, though made sure it was simple enough to allow beginners to research difficult ideas.

The course is nice, however it shows just a simple example how to use AJAX rather than describe the basics.

Bon cours, un propos très technique, qui nécessite plusieurs passages pour être assimilé. La compréhension (cours en anglais) est assurée par les sous-titres, parfois un peu "phonétiques".

JSON and AJAX always gave me a headache. I always get stuck when I need to connect the frontend to the backend. This short course was straight to the point and explained it all very clearly. I understand how they all connect now. Headache gone. Thanks again.

At the end of this course, I realize I've forgotten to give the appropiate punctuation, It was very useful to me.

[EDIT: In my review below I complained about the tutor not giving detailed explanations of the JavaScript functions used in this course. As Laurence explains in his reply to my review, the summary does list prior JavaScript knowledge as a prerequisite. Obviously I didn't bother to read the summary before starting the course so I would like to withdraw my complaint and apologize to Laurence for unfairly complaining that I wasn't taught something I was expected to already know. /EDIT] Good course with lots of very useful information clearly explained. I'm not sure if the tutor assumed quite a bit of prior knowledge of javascript, but I did struggle to understand exactly what was happening with the javascript code used in this course. Perhaps I should have taken a javascript course beforehand, but it would have been very helpful if the tutor had spent a little more time explaining exactly what each element of the javascript was doing.
