I have had 20+ years experience in training and product development and 15+ years working with JavaScript. I started learning JavaScript when it was a new language used for minor affects on a web site. The growth and ubiquitous nature of JavaScript both excites and inspires me.

I was the co-owner and President of Rapid Intake, an eLearning firm. The company was an ideal place for me to apply my training and development skills. While there I managed all development and professional service related activities. I was heavily involved in the initial development of Rapid Intake's main product, an eLearning authoring tool, which eventually lead to Rapid Intake's acquisition in 2011 by Callidus Software.
In addition to JavaScript technologies, I have dabbled in other web technologies such as ActionScript, ASP, PHP, HTML, and CSS.

The instructor explains everything very clearly in his videos and he has his font size increased when he's writing code so you can see what's he's doing instead of squinting at the screen. Most importantly, he's quick to respond to any questions you have. He provides guidance and helps you till you understand what your doing. Great video's + quick to respond teacher = 5 star rating.

One of the bests Javascript onlice courses out there!
IÂ´m a Front End student that tok a lot of online classes and could state, without any doubt, that this course is among the bests. Steve is very minucious in his explanations, although not wordy, and cover the important topics of the language with relevant, although simple, examples. The exercises spread all over the sections forces the user to actually put in practice the concepts. In adition, the course covers some useful new features of ECMAScript 6. Highly recomended!
Update: Halfway through this course, Steve maintains his approach with solid and concise explanations about the important features. Thumbs up!

I'm enjoying the course, the pacing is very good- the only thing I think that would enhance it would be quizzes at intervals throughout the modules to help reinforce the content. I've seen this on other Udemy courses and it works well!
