Learning AutoCAD Civil 3D 2016 (Udemy.com)

That's exactly what I was looking for. Good narrative. Helpful resources. Some parts are out of my interest (ex. surveying) but nevertheless helpful course overall.

I really loved how this course covers a lot of subjects in Civil 3D however I wish that Mr.Cohen could have significantly slowed down his speaking speed as he dictates too fast for us to catch up with him. It's a bit frustrating since we are dealing with such an extensive and flexible program.

Too fast.

I am struggling because I cannot access the practice material. I downloaded it but at no point is there a clear explanation as to which files we need to use and when I try follow the instructions and click on every file in an attempt to use them I cant. For example when importing points I am unable to import anything and without practice material the course becomes quite difficult.
The course outlined that this is usable for someone with no prior working in Civil 3D. Now I have worked with it and have worked extensively with basic 2D CAD and I still battle to follow all the Jargon. Was really hoping to get a clear understanding of the software as most of Civil 3D that I do know I taught myself... But I was disappointed as this was really not clear.

Understandable

The classes are recorded using C3D 2016 which is no longer available for download from Autodesk. The sample drawings and survey databases will not properly load into later versions of C3D. I tried to get updated class material from the url shown in the class material read me file with no luck. The lessons rely heavily on the class material.

Presenter proceeds too quickly for the student to clearly understand the point being made. For someone seeing the screen display of Civil 3D for the first time, one of the key requirements is to be made aware of the contents of the ribbon and how to use the ribbon. This is of FUNDAMENTAL importance. SLOW DOWN !! You might be able to speed up later in the course BUT for newcomers go SLOWLY to start with. Thank you.
