I think this was a good match for me. I've never used Maya before so I was looking for a tutorial that would show me the basics. So far, (I'm up to bridging), it's been very informative. Definitely quicker than if I tried to figure all this out on my own.

I have been looking for a course that was basic enough for people who have no experience on Maya, but that at the same time has enough resources to take us to an intermediate level. This is exactly what this course delivers. I went from a 100% beginner level to somewhat intermediate, and I have already got some 3D freelance work to do. The instructor is very concise and clear, and the exercises are very useful. I strongly recommend this course to everybody who wants to get started with Maya.

I bought this course to learn the basics of Maya and it really helped guide me around the software. I am already an experienced modeler, but those that haven't used modeling software should become more comfortable after taking this course.

I knew a little big about how to navigate Maya 2016, but this video definitely helped me figure out more intricacies, and things I never even knew. I feel more confident in being able to take on Maya and make the things I want to make having taken this class.

It's been a while since I'm an Autodesk Maya user. The teacher's explanation is excellent, addressing actions that I needed to perform before, but I did not know how. Great level of education. I just think the course could go deeper into Rigging and Animation. Missing a guide on how to model the cover android. The subtitles were great too.

I thoroughly enjoyed this class and I learned a lot. This is a great way to get to know Maya and its most important features. My only complaint is that a few areas are not updated for the 2017 version (although the course does say 2016...), and there's no indication of involvement from the teacher beyond him having posted the course. Overall, I would take another course from this instructor because he is clear and informative.

This is a very good tutorial for overviews of each main function of Maya. If you have a specific area you're interested in he will go over the core ideas behind it and then you can follow up with exercises and future tutorials of your own to reinforce what he teaches here. As someone who has gone through lots of tutorials from multiple sites, this is a quality tutorial.

Very easy to follow basic "literacy" course in Maya. The instructor was clear and said *why* we were doing things instead of just parroting what he was doing (which, sadly, is how a lot of instructors teach). Great course and I'm glad I bought it! The only comment I would make that could improve the course was that the recorded volume level was pretty low for some reason but watching it with headphones on fixed that.

So far so good. The real model sculpting and primitive manipulation is not quite here, so I'll update this rating after those lessons, the real "meat and potatoes" of modeling. Pacing of class is thorough but slow. Update at 50% mark: box-modeling is fascinating but confusing when trying to use a model different than the example. UV-mapping is a bit confusing as well, but presenter does a decent job explaining why the unwrapping process works the way it does. So far so good.

Confuses, not a step-by-step guide. Instructor give lessons disconnected from each other, made me change all my work in one lesson about sculpture, and on the next one nothing was used, because he changes to a complete new subject where the past lesson was ignored... Shows advanced tools about animation, but confuses more than helps. Sculpture is just an overview to make you screw your model and mess your work, because this lesson is totally disconnected from the others.
