Although the content and presentation is good, this course is outdated and not relevant to the current version of Mint. Some items are still useful but most is not the same anymore. I would have like to see more advanced content also such as mounting disks and setting it to automatically mount, as well as more in depth troubleshooting of common problems.

I have been using Linux Mint for some time but used it like a Windows system and didn't explore the finer details. The first lessons covered several things I was not aware of, like corner bubbles. I especially liked "Working With The Nemo File Management Utility" Lesson 12 because it explained the content of the system directories, something I had wondered about.

This was an excellent refresher class for someone who used UNIX a very long time ago. It covers every area that needs to be covered to install and familiarize yourself with the current Mint system installed on a virtual machine with multiple systems running different desktops.

I've wanted to learn Linux as I'm mainly using Windows 10. I was able to download Linux Mint 2 years ago on a separate computer but now have the time to learn about Linux in this format. The course is excellent for me as it 's been a great step by step explanation. it starts from the beginners level

I'm new to Linux Mint and I appreciate how the instructor clearly explained the features in an understanding manner. It was almost as if he knew what questions I would have and provided the answers as I needed them. I do wish Linux Mint 18.3 would have been used. However, I did obtain the objectives of taking this course and will happily say bye bye to Windows 10.

Excellent explanation of all his comments. He does not assume that anyone is already familiar with Linux Mint. The one "complaint" I have is that this edition of Linux Mint is rather ancient. I am using Linux Mint 19 Cinnamon, so it would be beneficial to learn what I am actually using.

I'm pretty much new to Linux. This course is a very very good introduction to Linux Mint and to Linux in general! The tone of voice and speed of speaking that the instructor uses is great. Great instructor! The purpose of this course was reached! I do feel more confortable to using Linux Mint! Now I'm set to go a bit further with this system! Thanks again for good work instructor!

Clear, precise information. Finally a class that truly is for a beginner. The instructor speaks clearly, and gradually introduces you into more detailed and complicated areas of Linux Mint, but does not overwhelm you with too much jargon at the beginning. It is exactly the class I was looking for.

Video fails to tell how to make a thumb drive bootable media for Mint install. Video fails to show how to set up with making your own partitions if you do not want to wipe the drive it is installing on. Video fails to talk about setting boot priority on system BIOS to make sure that the optical drive is the first boot device or the thumb drive is the first boot device.

When selecting the "Installation Type" on the installation lesson it would have been great if the instructor gave us more specific details on the benefits, of the encryption and LVM options. Loved the Permissions lectures, great work, super informative. Linux Mint has different GUI iterations the main one being Cinnamon, however in my case as it is with thousands other users, I use Mate, it would have been great to see the instructor providing more information on this topic. Loved the course, absolutely recommended for anyone.
