LLMs with Google Cloud and Python (Udemy.com)

I really like Jose and have taken several of his courses through Udemy. They are all great and I would highly recommend any of the others. Unfortunately, LLMs are such a fast evolving field that this course is pretty much unusable. It appears that since launching Gemini and making it the default LLM on Google that basically everything in this course is now deprecated. The web UI is completely different now (that's not too surprising as website often change), but what really makes the course unusable is that Google has deprecated the Python API that Jose uses in the course. I was able to install and import it, but I was unable to run any of the modules that needed to connect to Google. Unfortunately, Udemy should probably take this course down until Jose and Pieran can release an updated version.

This course offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience using Large Language Models (LLMs) on Google Cloud with Python. I learned many new concepts and techniques that I wasn’t aware of before. However, I would recommend that Jose update the course content, as some of the text models in Vertex AI have been deprecated. Despite this, the course provides valuable hands-on experience in building and utilizing LLMs on Google Cloud.

This is a Great Easy to understand class for LLM beginners. The teacher is very organized. And builds upon each subject taught.

Good comprehensive course to start off with LLM using vertexai. Instructor has done a good job explaining the text embedding technique and cosine similarity search. Loved this course!

This is the third Jose Portilla course I take. Once again, there is no one like him to dissect complex concepts into clean ideas that progressively help you build up your knowledge in a particular topic. I really enjoyed this course, it gave me a solid foundation of LLM. I totally recommend it!

It's the correct pace. The diagram of the LLM should have had labels included. There was a lot of discussion going on there, but I was not able to capture everything easily. Having a downloadable resource with more details on that slide would have made this section perfect since it could sum everything up nicely in one diagram.

This course was concise but covered all the necessary information required for an introduction to LLM's. I really enjoyed this course and learnt the required stuff to work with LLM's for practical tasks. The best part were the course notes and the clear explanations of the instructions! I highly recommend this to beginners trying to navigate the world of LLM's!!

Really a good course on learning Generative AI (LLMs on Google cloud with Python). Jose' teaching style is very engaging and making each of the section very interesting for learning by keeping right level of momentum throughout the course. I would highly recommend this course to others that want to enhance their knowledge in Generative AI using Google Cloud.
