I am an experimental hip-hop artist/producer from the Inland Empire, California. I have over 12 years of songwriting experience and over 15 years of production experience. I've released over 13 projects, as well as produced, engineered and ghost-written numerous other projects. I've played with bands and have developed my own wireless, self-DJing hip-hop stage show.
My hip-hop songwriting style encompasses extremely dense multi-syllable rhyming, metaphors and word play. I also incorporate complex themes and story telling. My overall style would be considered experimental.
My hip-hop production style encompasses heavy use of dense laying and sampling. I also incorporate loose, free form drums of varying styles. My overall style would be considered experimental.
I have over 3 years of teaching experience in all of the previously mentioned subjects.

Its a great leacture on the concepts of writing lyrics and the how and why behind it. The course itself, save one example, does not really ever touch on the actual structure of lyrics. Now I'm not going to lie, I'm a Grade D beginner here, that's why I got this course, I was just hoping for more material on the structure. Overall, I still learned a lot.

Honestly I think this course was 4 stars, some of the lectures seemed to ramble (just a little bit) and there weren't too many actionable insights. But a few of the ideas on writing, and styles are good mindsets and can help with your verses and creativity. A few good actionable tips but those were basic, overall happy to support because his Youtube videos are amazing. I will buy another course and hopefully get more out of it, but I'm sure I'll get at least a couple of gems, like I did in this course.

Great course, before I bought this course I practically inhaled the videos on Youtube, especially the ART series. That helped me to develop a more technical understanding of rap itself. This course perfectly builds on that by showing how to work the writtens in to a song format. How to approach writing a song and everything along with that. Some of the tips arent new but that doesnt mean you cant use a quick refresher. Overall great course, enjoyed it and will start applying immediately. Thank you Andre, keep em coming

This course is for beginners who want to get into writing. I was hoping that the teacher to have more examples of pass works that he has done or break down some other works. Im a subscriber of his on YouTube, and think his content on there more advance. So I was expecting a deeper dive. I feel this class was focused on the just subject of writing in general.
