Course Description
Auto Layout allows us to design and laying out UI components within our app that will be responsive to users' devices form factor and orientation. It will dynamically calculate the positions and sizes of the UI components automatically to deliver a consistent users experience in iOS app across devices, and with more and more devices form factors being introduced, mastering auto layout is critical and as developer we have to be really comfortable dealing with this.
Auto layout in iOS uses a constraint-based approach, which means we are setting constraints for each of the UI components that will adapt to both external (ie device size, rotation) and internal (ie internationalization) changes. In this course we will be using the Xcode storyboard approach as well as programmatic way using Swift to set our layout constraints. In some cases programmatic way might be the only way especially if we want to change the constraints at runtime.
There are a lot to cover on this course:
Orientation based layout
Size classes
Constraint priority
Proportional constraints
Content hugging and compression
Runtime update
Layout anchor
NSLayoutConstraint
Visual Format Language
Dynamic tableview cell
Stackview
Scrollview
By the time we are done, you should be comfortable dealing with auto layout in your project.

I had recently completed an iOS dev course that was very comprehensive, but did cover layout in detail, and I was really struggling, trying to figure out how to get layouts to work if they went beyond a very simple level. This course is really giving me the detail necessary to create well-functioning designs.

Creating (and controlling) a layout in details, using the Storyboard it self, is a tricky subject and needs very good examples to be understood. Thanks to this great teacher, you can at last understand and exercise, in much possible details, on this complicated subject with methods, buttons, sections and submenus etc.. needed that other teachers forgotten. Generally teachers on Udemy, prefer to talk about Programming more than Design and explaining Xcode interface. They expect the students usually to self discover that part. It's boring and difficult to explain but you have to understand that basic knowledge. And here, with this course, finally everything is clear and well understood, at least for me. Thank you for the extra effort. I appreciate this dearly. (Since English is my 3rd foreign language, I'm sorry for my mistakes.)

I've struggled with Xcode Storyboard for a long time and have used many resources to gain mastery of the subject. This course made building layouts extremely clear to me. I especially liked this course because the instructor reviewed all the relationships between the numerous layout options. I learned his work process and how to approach layouts in a systematic fashion. The clear explanations about size classes, hugging, and compression helped clear the confusion I had before I started the course. The only part I would change is how to implement Scrollview only using Storyboard. The instructor adds Swift code to make his Scrollview work.

I had already created a full-blown App (courtesy of my existing skills and other Udemy courses), but was getting confused over matters relating to Auto Layout. So this relatively short introductory course was very useful at pointing me in the right direction. Will consider more courses from Andi after I have absorbed the lessons so far. Thanks. Chris

I thought I knew auto layout pretty well, but the course showed me a lot of little tricks and filled in some holes in my understanding. The demo projects are great and you can use them to follow along with the lectures. They will also be a great resource to refer back to as I work on my own app. A little more explanation of why to use certain layout methods and what all the properties and variables mean would have been helpful.

Excellent!!! I do not know why I was skeptical about taking the course initially but had to say that the instructor explained the things very well and I learned a lot and got to know new things about Autolayout. I will be looking for further more courses provided by the instructor. Thank you so much for this course.

Excellent course on iOS Auto Layout. Genius has been described as making the complex simple. That’s exactly how I’d describe this course. Everything is broken down logically into easily digestible content. I’ve already been able to apply much of the knowledge here into my current project.

Andi's courses are well organized and to the point, without a lot of pomp and ceremony. He weaves real-world experience into the lessons which means you can apply the knowledge gained from the lessons to something you are building now or will be later on. I was already somewhat comfortable with Auto Layout but this course definitely filled in some of the knowlege gaps I had as a result of the learn-it-as-it's-needed method. Highly recommended!

This Course is to basic. its not cover the advance topic. its worth to invest money for this course. If you beginner then purchase it.

An excellent discussion of autolayout, which is really confusing to the beginning developer. Most courses only have a superficial discussion, whereas this is in much more in depth. The only thing I would like to see added is a discussion of expanding this topic to the making of universal apps, as most iphone apps don't translate well to ipads, or visa versa. This shortcoming can be addressed with the use of a different storyboard for each device type. Maybe the author could add one or two lectures to demonstrate this. Other than that, I think this was well worth both my time and money investment.
