Laravel & PHP Mastery: Build 5 Real-World Projects (Udemy.com)

Well I do not recommend this course as in 2026 because though it may have been very good in 2024 or early 2025, it is done with Laravel 10 so when you get your setup done, you will find lots and lots of problems in the lectures as you will most assuredly get Laravel 13 or even higher and this course is based on 10 so lots of things are off. While I appreciate that it is very hard to update a course this big, I would ask the instructor to CLEARLY label that this is for people that want to learn specifically Laravel 10 or maybe 11. Certainly not 13. The quality of the content is good but it is meant for an older version so make that clear. Now I have to buy another course for version 13 after spending 10 days fighting though this and eventually realizing I am learning old methodology not the most current. Please consider just creating a course for each version of Laravel rather than this misleading method.

This is a wonderful course if you want to know about creating websites and a simple API using Laravel. As a beginner, I learned a lot from this course. But why a 4.5/5 rating? The reason is that it should have included projects that use an auth kit, such as Breeze or Jetstream, with multi-auth support. Use the Q&A section to know what to do when it comes to new Laravel version errors (e.g., no Kernel issue). Pay attention to teacher notes and recommendations. Use Project 1 as a foundation/notes app for Laravel, while other Projects are the main builds—give them enough attention. And, I am very excited to see your upcoming projects. Thank you very much.

The course is great for Laravel beginners. I had some issues with the implementation of policies as it is different in Laravel 11 compared to the instructions in this course. The Laravel part seems unfinished and is missing some of the features that were announced to be implemented. Also, I would love to have more information about best practices using Laravel especially when it comes to components, template structuring and launching your Laravel project (deployment, configuration files etc). However, overall the course is great and Piotr is doing a great job explaining all aspects of the projects. If you are just starting out with programming you should probably do the PHP part first to be able to follow along the Laravel part.

This course is excellent, with clear explanations and detailed instructions from the author every step of the way. To get the most out of it, ensure you’re using the latest stable versions of key components like Laravel (I used version 11), PHP, and Livewire. The course reflects updates for these versions, but you may need to make minor adjustments if transitioning from Laravel version 10 to 11.

This was one of the most informative and easy to follow courses that I have taken. I only took a half star off my review because the course material is from Laravel 5 and when trying to follow along with Laravel 9 there were a lot of changes that needed to be made. I would love to see this course updated, but I was able to get through with some help from the questions session. Excellent course, highly reccommend.

Piotr's explanations and examples are excellent. The way he clarifies and refers back to the original documentation is a great way of reminding you that the source of truth with Laravel lies in their docs. His course is and will remain a valuable reference for me while developing PHP and Laravel apps, especially so because of his method of teaching and showing what can be done. It is easy to find relevant information and broken down into very easily digestible chunks. I'm looking forward to when the Laravel 9 updates will be released and actually to any new content from you about Laravel. I am very satisfied with the course, many topics were covered showing both theory and examples. The only reason for the 4.5 stars and not 5 is that while the earlier videos have been updated for Laravel 8, the later ones are still on Laravel 6 and the code hasn't been updated as of yet. When it is updated i will changed it to 5 stars

Everything is well explained. You get the changes of each single lecture as a git commit in the whole projects repository and thus can view them as a whole afterwards. The course covers every important aspect of laravel and explains it with real world examples that magically all combine to one big whole, a social media app, where you can post posts, post comments to post, categorize and tag posts, sign in as a new user and log in as a user, etc. As it is one big whole in the end, one can see the whole picture and how each aspect of laravel plays its unreplacable role in it. Very, very, very well done.

Really enjoyed the course! Very thorough.. I love Piotr's delivery; everything was explained very well. The only reason I could not give 5.0 stars was because of not answering questions; I had about 8-10 questions throughout the course, and he replied to about 3, and actually answered 1 - a couple other users supplied a couple answers. I know you have so many students, and these are crazy times with the virus, but I guess I felt just a little abandoned, and this is not a trivial subject, so when I didn't get an answer it bogged me down for several days until I could either find it (which I know is a valuable lesson in and of itself) or my son (another laravel guru) would have the time to help me. All-in-all it was a very good course and I enjoyed it very much - in fact, I'm going to do your laravel/vue course next! See you there!

I highly recommend this course to any Laravel Novice who wants to get into this powerful framework and improve their PHP development skills. The course instructor is very knowledgeable and put complex messages across in a structure way. From my personal point of view, this course has achieved objectives beyond my expectations. As a "Laravel Novice" I was expecting to have several situations that I could not grasp. I was expecting my usual errors due to spelling mistakes, and believe me I made many, but the reality was, I only had one section where I had difficulty grasping the technical aspects. However once I had taken the time to go back over the section, I understood the concepts ans I achieved the expected results. Thanks Piotr - A great course! P.S.
