This course is absolutely outstanding. It covers all the essential concepts needed to confidently start working with NestJS, and every topic is explained with incredible clarity and detail. The instructor is extremely knowledgeable and has a rare ability to teach even complex ideas in a simple, approachable way. The content is fully up to date and the teaching quality is easily the best I’ve seen. I’ve watched many instructors across Node, Express, and NestJS and this one is by far the best. I would genuinely purchase any course he creates in the future. Highly recommended.

It could be better. There is some misleading information in the course that you can easily spot if you read the documentation while watching the videos. Some of the lecturer's proposed practices are outdated or not suitable for enterprise projects, but if you are just starting out, Piotr won't overwhelm you with unnecessary information. Despite sometimes getting angry when the video proposes something different to the official NestJS documentation, I would recommend it.

The course is good, but the explanation of some topics is rushed, which means that you have to repeat the lessons over and over again. There is no point in having a short course if you have to repeat some lessons several times to understand it.

I just finished the last video, I learned a lot about NestJS and GraphQL, which I wasn't familiar with. Piotr is a great instructor, the pace is perfect, and he's easy to understand even for someone who doesn't fully master English. The only criticism I could make is that the course is getting old, and it's starting to show, mainly on the version of TypeORM used; you sometimes need to use a different syntax, and PostgreSQL users will have to make some extra efforts to adapt the code. But nothing too complicated in the end. So instead of continuing to change the year in the title, it might be time to update the course. Despite this, I recommend the course. Thank you, Piotr!

There are not a lot of Nestjs courses on Udemy, but I found this one fairly good. What I liked about the course: - For every lecture the instructor has a link to github where you can see all the code changes made in the video. - The course goes over not just how to create a Rest API but also how to create a GraphQL API - The course covers advanced features of Nestjs like custom validation decorators or pagination with GraphQL. But even though the instructor repeatedly invites questions in the Q&A forum, he doesn't seem to actually answer those questions (at least I haven't gotten any responses to my posts, and I noticed a number of other unanswered posts as well). Also, though some of the explanations are very thorough and detailed, other explanations (e.g. of TypeORM relations) can seem a bit rushed. If the course were ever to be revised and updated, it will also be nice to see coverage of (1) how to switch from the default Nestjs + Express to Nestjs + Fastify and (2) how to use Nestjs in monorepo mode to create a backend for an SPA. Overall, though, this is a good course that will help anyone looking to get started with Nestjs.

Excellent course, cover the very basics of an API development and from an initial approach, ideal for beginners and the very best of is the progressive evolution of the contents, exploring better ways to do and improving our initial code by doing refactors and simplifying a large file bloated with logic. The only cons that i've found were compatibility issues with some configuration, and after some research i assume is relationaed with my SO (Windows) specifically with env files used on e2e testing. But overall, one of the best learning experience i have.

Great course! I got a new concept and technique that I never learned before, aside from NestJS. For improvement, I think "we'll explore this later" is too much for me; sometimes I think it can be explained right there, so that makes the learning curve more smooth and fast. (Also, some parts of the course are still outdated, but it's understandable, and I'm fine finding solutions myself.)

Good course! The course is very good, nothing superfluous, the author even cuts and speeds up empty spaces. Everything you need to know is there. How best to do and how best NOT to do is shown and told. In addition to just the code, there are explanations with the theory, which, in principle, I have not seen anywhere else. Directly with diagrams, diagrams, everything is clear and understandable

I've been using Nest JS for about a year, while it does work, it's using a different approach of utilizing some of the Nest JS features than the one that I learnt on this Udemy course by Piotr Jura. It certainly helps a lot on understanding more about Nest JS and what makes it as one of the most popular backend framework. Data Validation, Data Serializing, and detailed session about Unit Testing plus E2E Testing are some of the things that I think are very important to be discussed in this course. There are still a few things about Nest JS that aren't covered on this course, but even for new users of Nest JS, I would certainly recommend this course.

I don't get how anyone could give a rate under 5 stars to this course. First of all, it was a great course! instructor assumes students to know nothing about both architecture design and technologies used such as nestjs, sql, database, auths So he covers the most fundamentals of whats needed in order to build the project. They may be boring, but they are crucial in understanding how to utilize nestjs project. However, Nestjs is not an easy framework to learn if you are beginner. I would recommend that you should take other node.js course and express with any type of database. Then a crash course in typescript. By then, you will be able to get the most out from the course.
