Node.js API Masterclass With Express & MongoDB (Udemy.com)

A great course and a great teacher although..... Too bad that the years turned this course into something that I find hard to recommend. At least for me, it turned more than once into an exhausting struggle. While it still included relevant and important practices, It ended up quite poorly and lacked depth as well as more advanced backend principles, factors, and elements, and kind of staying at some "comfort zone". (websocket, testing, typescript, security, integration with other platforms - for me all of those dimmed the spark of this course which is not completely sparkless..) I wouldn't say anything though, unless I already see teachers who keep "refactoring" their courses by maintaining the content up to date - which I REALLY appreciate. Unfortunately, this course ain't one of those. I see you in the next one.

Good course, though not entirely for beginners. If you are coming from Brads Modern JS Course you should be fine. Section 6 is quite advanced, and some areas here were not very well explained. I'd recommended extra learning material for this section, and may be worth coming back to in future. The final section covered deploying to Digital Ocean, however I had trouble with the company charging over $20 for a "pre-authorization charge". Fortunately it's really straightforward to deploy the app on Render instead. You should pick up the course regardless of these two issues. The information shared in this course is valuable and I feel like it's given me a healthy foundation for building out my own backend APIs and developing a further understanding. It is also a good pre-requisite to Brads mern ecommerce course. I highly recommend it.

I gone through all things about backend through this course, especially the end part, i think no other course will show, i’m glad that i took his course, and also i have 4 or 5 of his course, even i would love to suggest this course, brad is my hero when it comes to development, due to his courses i’m able to crack interviews and i can work in an updated pace, Thanks brad sir love from Bangalore

Brad courses are amazing. i am more confident in node express now. Important Thing to share: His course has been almost copied by some other guy in udemy. I was stuck with the choice of a few courses to pick between, it was hard to decide but I remembered how a few years back I followed one of brads free courses on youtube and remembered how good he was. I do not regret for a minute choosing Brad's course. I am 2/3rds through and am thoroughly pleased already! edit: finished the course long ago and still sometimes reference back to it. I have now made 3 full projects using a nodejs backend and this course got me where I needed to go, a perfect starting step

Amazing detailed backend API for MERN stack developers. Absolutely enjoyed it from the beginning to the end. I'd rate it 10 START if I could. Would highly recommend for the would-be backend developers. Brad, one last recommendation, would you be updating this course with Unit Tests and CI/CD pipeline in the future? That will make this course the gold standard for Backend development using Test Driven Design (TDD) for MERN Developers! Thank you!

the teacher is amazingly organised. this is like a upgraded version of brad's previous backend course except there is no passport js 3rd party authentication. valuable here you don't find elsewhere is to learn how to make cleaner controllers as well as deeper understanding of middleware as well as the email change password part and use of cookies. also, learn implement some security as well as use mongodb hooks and use seeder to automatically populate your data. if you want to learn more node /express, can also check out 'web development with node and express' [book] or check out the github, it will have some more info on stuff like file uploading, unit test etc. code is slightly messy though.
