I didn't master anything NO Modeling was involved I can read a book and get more out of it.

This course is an amazing in-depth introduction into all the essential workings of Maya. I've been working with Maya for over a year and I still learned a lot with it. I would definitely recommend it for beginner - intermediate Maya users.
I would have given a 5-star rating, but I just feel some more practical exercises should have been included, such as creating your own scene with your own models, etc. instead of just working with premade meshes.

It's a good course for beginners because almost all basic terms and options are explained thoroughly. Unfortunately the course is 3 years old so some information are out of date. It also lacks of rigging section which would be really useful for characters and machines animation. But overall it can be very helpful to start working with Maya software.

Pros: The instructor explains things in good detail and repeats the steps during the demos, to help solidify how he accomplished certain effects.
Cons: The video's would have been better hi-res and widescreen format. Needs more real world/ simple project based examples, like the truck tire texturing, to really make concepts stick.

Very thorough and comprehensive training. Great place for beginners to understand the basics of Maya modeling.
