I think the idea and the variety of subjects is good. However, there are quite a few problems that make it a not so great set of videos. Math videos need more practice problems to work along with the teacher to make sure that not only were the explanations good, but that the information can be retained. Instead, they'll have around 40+minutes of content and then maybe 1 - 3 practice questions after all of the various different sections. Which can lead to some loss of clarity on the practices. I also feel that in many cases, some of the sections have explanations that go on way too long for what they are and overcomplicate simple subjects and then speed through other subjects to the point that I got bored at various points in the videos. It'd also be nice if the formulas were held and listed for each section.

This is an excellent course and I'm really happy that I purchased it. It really does the job, taught me everything I expected it to do. All the topics are explained clearly and in an easy-to-understand manner. Would be definitely going thru them again when needed. Thank you Krista and Jose for the stunning work here!!!

Very well produced course! The overview lectures from José Portilla followed by the detailed lectures from Krista King were a nice touch and greatly appreciated. Seeing a high-level motivational view before the "nitty-gritty" lectures was a unique touch. Both instructors were engaging and enthusiastic. Krista King's explanations were superb, and she demonstrated how to perform each calculation by hand in an effective manner. It took me a while to work through this course, and I jumped around a little bit, but the modules themselves were well designed and a cohesive whole. Thank you to you both for putting this together. Great job!

It covers most of the fundamental statistics knowledge data analyst/scientist needs to know, and it definitely helps me refresh my knowledge. Here're some cons: - the practice problems are not well designed, e.g. the last one only has one question about regression coefficient, completely leaving ANOVA, chi-square off - the first video of each section is a bit boring cuz instructor is just reading the slides

I'm fortunate to take this course taught by two great instructors who complemented each other in their math expertise. Though I've taken numerous courses of Jose Portilla in the past, this is my first time to be taught by Krista King and I find her lessons very engaging and comprehensive yet very simple to understand from a complete newbie's point of view. I highly recommend this course to those who like to understand statistics from scratch. Thank you Jose and Krista!

I thought Ms. King did a great job of explaining all of the Statistical techniques and her explanations. She was great! What I would have liked to have seen is to perhaps double the length of this course. Keep everything in it as is showing the background of how everything is calculated, but then add a bunch of scenarios and examples (for repetition so that the concepts and Statistical Tests can be hammered home) using PYTHON for each section so that I can learn how to actually code all of these Statistical Tests and learn how to more easily interpret the results for application in the real world. With all of the data.csv files you use in all of your other classes, it shouldn't be that difficult for you to develop a Python-based Statistical Test Analysis class that shows you how to utilize all of these Statistical Tests via a variety of different examples.

Excellent class, never thought I would do a math class for fun. Can’t say I understood everything but I can say I learned a lot more then I thought. Krista King is an masterful teacher. Sometimes, I wish she’s would be more detailed and simplified. My math level might be too low to follow and understand some of the steps. This is a gigantic class 68 lectures, 16 hours of video. I worked very hard, not something you can do quickly. I used Microsoft Power BI to follow the class and recalculate the math. Having the same answer as Krista validated that I understood. It also made me discover the Power BI math functions. I also enjoyed Jose Portilla contributions. All in all, very happy I did this class. I did not expect it to would be so extensive and that I would work so hard. I never thought I would be able to do some of the math that Krista was able to teach me. This class brought my math level to a level I never thought possible ! Thank you !

This was a great course. Krista does a great job of explaining the math behind the theory. She and Jose make a great team. I took Jose's course "2022 Python for Machine Learning and Data Science" and I wish that I had taken this course before that one as it would have made the math sections of that course a little less intimidating for me. One small point: I had no trouble hearing and understanding Krista, but I found that I had to crank my headphone volume all the way up to hear Jose. I tried using the English captions, but that obscured part of the screen, so I turned them off. All in all, great course. Highly recommended!!

I finished the course, took me two months to finish it understanding the concepts. The course is matching the expectation and I appreciate the effort both teachers are putting into slicing and dicing complex topics. On the other hand, I feel like the explanation quality is a bit skewed on the "easy side", while more complex demonstration or deep dive are dealt a bit lightly. But I can see this being a choice in order to avoid creating a repulsive course for early starters. As I wrote in the course I am having little problem grasping hand-writing of the teacher, but I can see this being very subjective. Some of the exercises are bugged (but mostly solved in Q&A). In the end I am seeing an HUGE opportunity for a Math for Data Science part.2 with more complex topics and more depth with the same style, I really like the idea of focusing on the theory without jumping straight in into programming. I'll be in.

I have no doubt that this course is top-notch. and that many students will benefit greatly by it. I would disagree with the statement that the course is right for someone with 'basic math skills'. My situation is fairly unique, in that I am retired, no longer have ambitions of full time employment, and I just want to write better Python, maybe for the occasional paying project, but basically as a hobby. My goal with this course is to not be totally lost, armed with a data science cheat sheet. I might suggest that you advise 'basic math and algebra skills' as a prerequisite, and perhaps (LOL) 'the willingness to learn a foreign language.' If I walk away with enough to build a block of code, with enough background to use google and a cheat sheet to get me there, then I'm happy. I'm hoping to acquire sufficient background knowledge, with this course, to be able to do that. I do think, however, that your course is better suited for someone seeking a higher threshold than I am.
