This course (and all of Kain Ramsey’s courses) is AMAZING. Kain explains everything in an interesting and easy-to-understand way. His accent is neat and he clearly knows what he’s talking about. If you want to know more about yourself or human behavior in general, and are seeking personal growth, you need to take this course.

Kain gives fantastic information and examples. I feel I’ve grown throughout this course, as well as validated some things I’ve previously learned with life experiences. I recommend this course to anyone looking to improve themselves, professionals and non-professionals, alike. Everyone could benefit from this training.

Love the content as it's applicable, true to each and everyone's unique experience; how we can become better, instead of bitter. All knowledge shared, reflected upon, and learned has been able to be applied in my professional practice as a Lived Experience Suicide Bereavement Peer Worker, and as a consultant AOD / Social and Emotional Wellbeing Practitioner. Thank you. Brilliant.

Kain talks a lot about consistency, and he demonstrates it with this course. He knocked it out of the park, as he has with all the other courses I've taken from him! I appreciate his simple, no-nonsense approach to his teaching, making the practice of mental health and wellness accessible to all.

Absolutely, a good match, and I have been looking forward to attending this session.Thank you, Kain Ramsay, for creating such courses. For me personally, just the demonstration units were not very interesting, but the way you put up things for each unit has so much clarity and is easy to understand. More power to you to create so many more in this field!!! Thank you once again!!

Kain offers a great insight into mental health, I could not have taken a better first step... I might even go through the course again. Great course, thank you Kain.

It seems I misunderstood the course title, particularly the way the term "practitioner" was used. I didn’t enroll to be “moulded and shaped” (referenced in video 121) by the instructor’s opinions. My intention was to learn how to apply theory to my coaching practice and gain new techniques, but the course turned out to be something quite different. It appears designed particularly for older generations, ex-military or individuals with problematic pasts who are stuck in life and need a push to “pull up their socks.” This philosophy would perhaps resonate with them, along with some of the instructor’s views. The instructor seems to carry significant resentment towards mental health professionals, particularly those who diagnose mental disorders. While I understand these experiences may have shaped his outlook, it’s important to recognize that, like doctors who diagnose and treat medical conditions, psychiatrists and psychologists provide diagnoses and also treatment plans. That being said, I do share his frustration with being labeled or put in a box. The course would be much more valuable if the personal rants against mental health diagnoses and “flag flyers” were taken out. This would make the content far more concise and relevant. The instructor’s sales and marketing background is evident through his use of persuasive communication techniques. To get through the more personal sections, I found myself watching most videos at double speed. That said, a few of his stories were genuinely interesting I respect his efforts to change his toxic behaviours. This course definitely requires strong critical thinking skills. While I am dedicated to growth and lifelong learning, I’m further along in my journey and prefer more hands-on material for professional purposes rather than viewpoints and a shake up intended for those earlier in their path. At this stage, I have outgrown the content. Before signing up reflect why you are taking the course: for your personal growth or to gain professional skills? However, some parts were useful. The handouts were well-designed, and the demonstrations with Karen were useful . In these moments, the instructor was much more focused and effective, compared to his frequent tangents about bad diagnoses, societal issues, and “chick flicks.” It’s important to recognise that some disorders are influenced or worsened by biological factors, which seems to be overlooked. I appreciate hearing different opinions, but I prefer when they aren’t delivered with such intensity and frequency, especially when the aim seems to be to impose them on others. I did learn a new word: “diatribe.”

I learnt a lot about myself during this course, why I do what I do through habits and patterns, why I think the way I do and the thoughts that occupy my mind etc. This course has given me the clarity that I was looking for within my own life. Kain called me out on some of my own bs. It was like he was talking directly to me. I love the dialogues that came throughout as it cemented the learnings. That you, I totally enjoyed this course.

This course has been an eye opener for me. Especially concerning how people are quickly labelled as having mental health disorders in an impassionate way through the DSM. Thank you Kain for imparting new knowledge in the areas of mental health counseling.

I’ve learnt so much from Kain that he’s my go too when I need to listen to someone who actually makes sense! I’m learning how to cope with difficult conversations without getting angry or being hurt by listening more. I will continue improving myself (wish my parents and schools taught this) but in the meantime I’m still a hermit whenever I need to escape life …….
