Microsoft Power BI DAX from Scratch (Udemy.com)

The narration is good. I was expecting a detailed explanation, since this DAX is from the scratch, on how the formula works. The transcript is below average, most of the text are not appropriate. Also the quiz that comes after the main section, few of the questions were outside the lesson that was taught in the lesson.

The "Sales" table already had the column and the measure the instructor created. When I created with the instructor, PBI indicated the column and measure had to be renamed. Small concern. Other than that, great first block.

The screen doesn't always display the teacher's description (25. DATEADD function). The part where the calendar is created is not shown, hence we don't know that a relationship between the calendar table needs to be established for the Time intelligence function to work.

Good introduction and for sure good value for 15 Euros. Just the video recordings had some little errors in them and I missed info on DAX documentation e.g. on Microsoft's and other websites, and perhaps some more content (cases and functions) to work with.

Soms werd er teveel ingezoomd, waardoor je niet niet wat getypt werd. In les 16 mistte ik de uitleg hoe die precies '429 bikes' komt; dus hoe weet die dat het aantal 429 bij bikes hoort. Verder wel kort en krachtig, maar soms te kort.

Simple and Cool to follow so far !! Mam- Related could be used on many side of table to get a column from 1 side of relationship. This minute point is missing here rest is very clear and concise.

The course is very good as a crash course but the authors did all the job for you i.e. reports, measures, etc already done and included except for several final lessons. It would be much more useful for the students to do it all themselves. I know you can delete these measures but still sometimes things break if you just delete stuff...

I really enjoy this course. Having a clear problem statement in connection with each DAX solution makes learning easy and fun. I highly recommend this course to those who want to have more practice with DAX function.

Nice cource. It helped me to remined some DAX expressions in a short time. It is extremely usefull for newbies, due to lecturer gives information with simple practical examples.
