A great way to start learning Kanji from scratch. I completed the N5 grammar course first, and actually it might have been better to do this kanji course first. Here, the speaking was slower than in the grammar course. Also, some kanji were introduced in the grammar course that were covered in this course. For me, the listening - with subtitles - was a great bonus, rather than sensei speaking in English. Highly recommended.

This Japanese Kanji N5 level course is excellent for beginners. The lessons were well-structured, progressively introducing essential characters with clear explanations and practical examples. Overall, this course provided a solid understanding of basic Kanji. Highly recommended.

In my opinion, as a teacher candidate, teaching could have been so much motivating to learn Kanji, class would be more interesting so that motivate learner to continue, for such a hard language in particular. Really robotic way of teaching contrary to usual human behaviors.

The kanji are taught in order of difficulty. I like how they group similar looking kanji (those with the same radical) and show the comparisons between them which is extremely helpful. There is some explanation about the kanjis since most of them are similar to pictographs. At the end of each lesson, they have review exercises where they even bring in kanji from previous lessons to reinforce learning. I like how the sensei writes the kanji slowly and in proper stroke order so that we can follow along. Please ensure you have mastered hiragana and katakana as it helps with on and kun reading before learning kanji. Also, make sure you have a basic understanding of verb conjugations(-te, ta form), so at least when you do the review exercises, you understand the sentences better.

The grammar is not tought on this course. the methodology is quiet confusing. Let's see the next course.
